Low Numbers

I'm curious as to the Number of players on teams across the County. I'm very suprised by some of the Low number of players around the County.

I know that....................

J-T has 6 Players

Prattsburgh has 11 Players

Avoca has 11 Players

What about the rest of the county? How are the numbers at the other schools?

Hammondsport ?

Canisteo-Greenwood?

Campbell-Savona?

Addison?

Arkport?

Alfred-Almond?

Bradford?

Ok, so how does THIS happen? I mean a school like J-T with a good program has SIX players? and H'port I thought was on the way up and ony 9?? I don't get it.

I believe Bath has 11, which is average most coaches keep 12-13 players Max

when 5 players were kicked off the team for drinking. All 5 were underclassmen last year, and of the 5, 4 are no longer in the district and the one who still attends JT decided not to play basketball this year. All 5 probably would have been on the team this year otherwise. But your question is a valid one, since the numbers have been low for the past couple of years at both the JV and varsity levels for both boys basketball and boys soccer at JT. I know it has some people within the JT district puzzled...

what about the JV squads. I saw H'Port and they have like 10 or 11 kids on that squad. Are numbers low on those as well??

Hports Jv has 12 kids on the roster
