Today I was bored, and looking on espn.com. One of the SportsNation questions was the best athlete of the current decade. Choices were Lance Armstrong, Michael Phelps, Roger Federer, Tiger Woods, and Tom Brady. Each were dominant in their respective sports. So my question is, who do you think was/is the best athlete of the decade in Section V?

I would have to chose the best football player I watched growing up and to me that was Phil Hojnacki of Attica. This is just a player I watched as a young kid. He dominated the GR, and once racked up 305 yards on only 14 carries. Another recent player was Jeremiah Allen of Geneva who twice ran for over 320 yards, amassing 394 in one game. These are football players I've watched play a game. I'm sure there are many, many more.

Zapata was a great back and is at the Naval Academy now, I think. Didn't know about Dupra.
