In the footsteps of what the Wayne county league is doing with the FLW does anybody think it would be a great idea to have a steuben allegany challenge? Allegany has 11 teams while Steuben has 10 teams the matchups could be each teams position from the previous year or current year. But the number 11 team in Allegany would not have a matchup. Like how it is in the big ten/ACC challenge in the NCAA.

My thoughts on the date would be either before the county tournament or just after the tournment. If a facility that is halfway could be the spot like Alfred State and University all the games could be played in one day.

Any thoughts????? Good idea, bad idea any thoughts on how it could be better??

Good idea but isn't possible now with the Season being shortened by two games. Too many teams would have to give up Tip-Off or Christmas tournaments in order to get another Non-League game in. Also a lot of teams have traditional non-league games like Prattsburgh vs. Notre-Dame that they might have to give up and that's not going to happen. Plus a lot of the schools already play each other in non league games. Canisteo-Greenwood already plays both Cuba-Rushford & Bolivar-Richburg, Campbell-Savona already played Cuba-Rushford this season, Alfred-Almond plays Belfast & Scio, Scio played in the Bradford Tournament. Fillmore played Arkport twice, Andover played in the Arkport tournament.

I don't think it'd have the same affect or impact as the Wayne/Finger Lakes Shootout or the Orleans/G-R one because of the fact many of the teams already play each other.......... Good thought though

I'm not sure the Wayne/ FLW games will continue after this season. Next year Mynderse goes back to FLE, and West is down to nine teams. If we go back to playing each other twice, that is 16 games, that leaves two for your tip off tourneys and others.

I'm hoping we find a better way to schedule next year.
