We'd be able to tell better if the Sutherland coach filled in his shot stats for the game...but the game was played at McAvoy park on turf, which makes a difference.

I suppose though, teams should get used to it if they want to succeed in Sectionals.

The E. Irondequoit stats show 6 shots on offense and 14 saves on defense. Anyone at the game? Did Sutherland have all their players (they won the first game 5-1) or was E. Irondequoit missing guys in the first game? Seems a remarkable reversal in outoome.

Pittsford had to be without Halligan, there's no way IMO that eastridge could keep them scoreless without pittsford missing Halligan, just to good a player to keep goalless

The report on the game I received (albeit from a Sutherland source) was that the game was very "unusual." Two Sutherland goals were waved off. Nine yellow cards were issued to nine different Sutherland players, and none to E.Irondequoit players. The Sutherland coach and assistant coach were each issued red cards. For anyone who has watched Sutherland play this year, not a particularly physical or rambunctious team, this report, if a true bill, suggests some very bizarre things went on in this game, when almost every player of one team is issued a card and none for the other team. I don't believe I've ever heard of anything similar.

As a spectator at the game, I will make some corrections. Halligan did play and Sutherland was not missing anyone. Also, the number of yellows received by Suth. was exagerated in the one posting. 2 players got yellows and 2 coaches were tossed.
