I think this is HFL's only game against a class AA team (they mainly play class B teams). Does anyone think they stand a good chance to pull off an upset on Monday?

Awesome. Game starts at 12:30. I'll go watch the first half hour on my lunch break. This game will be followed by the Sutherland/Mendon game at 3. Gotta love it.
Great idea! Columbus Day classic. I hope the weather stays decent!

There is East vs West Irondequoit at 10, then HFL/Thomas at 12:30, then Mendon/Sutherland at 3 and later that night Aquinas and McQuaid are playing @ McQuaid at 7. Monday's going to be a great day for soccer in Monroe County!

Thomas won, 1-0 over HFL. Reidy had the goal.
Pretty even in shots and saves 18/10 for Thomas and 14/14 for HFL.

East Irondequiot lost to West Irondequoit 2-1.
Mendon proved that they are back in the thick of things with a 2-0 win over Sutherland yesterday. Sutherland was missing one of its better players due to yellow cards.
HFL lost to Thomas 1-0.
Mcquaid - Aquinas game postponed, because of lightning.

HFL must travel to Bath tonight after their 1 goal loss to top ranked ( AA ) Webster Thomas, yesterday. In the first contest HFL defeated Bath 1-0. ( at HFL ) I thought that HFL had many more quality tries at goal, but both teams played with a tremendous amount of intensity. I expect the same tonight. Bath's defense and keeper were tested throughout the last contest and held tough. If Bath is to have a chance to win, they must get some solid play from their midfielders tonight. If HFL controls the field ( like they did in the first 20 minutes of the 2nd half against Bath the 1st time ) it could be very tough to " keep your finger in the dam " and prevent HFL from scoring.
You have three very skilled and talented teams in Livingston County D I. HFL, Bath, and Hornell present a forminable challenge to any team that they play.

HFL and Bath battled to a 1-1 tie in Bath this evening. Bath broke the ice first on a long direct kick from Reid Gustin. It tipped through the finger tips of goalie Jared Coates. Bath led at half, 1-0. With about 12 minutes to go Jared Buschang ( I believe ) scored on a direct. It was nailed in the upper corner tying the game at one all.
It was a tale of two halves. Bath pretty much dominated play throughout the 1st half of play. They had multiple direct kicks and a few corners that could not be finished. Bath did, however, score on one of those directs, but it was was waved off for pushing ( in the box ) by one official. It could easily have been 2-0 at half.
As in the last HFL/Bath game, HFL came out in the 2nd half and pressed play for the first 35 minutes. Bath seemed to be on their heels and attempted to play " boot ball " hoping for the W. When Buschang netted the tying goal at about the 76th minute, Bath played with much more intensity. They had a couple of golden opportunities to score, but could not.
It was obvious to me that HFL is used to a much more physical style of play that seems to be the norm near Rochester. Not condoning it, just saying that the players seemed to be really bothered by some of the calls for " fouls " that seemed to be the norm for Steuben County.
Being a Bath parent I really have to commend the HFL coach for taking charge of his team at the end of the game. There seemed to be some delay tactics with the last 15 seconds ( Bath players ) that allowed the clock to run out. Questionable, I think. In addition, there were some other transgressions that took place afterwards that could be viewed as inappropriate. The HFL coach directly addressed these with his team and impressed me with his control and professionalism. He really is to be positively recognized for his integrity in addressing his teams' actions. I note this not to criticize the boys, but to commend the coach.

Congrats to Bath for playing tough. They always play HFL with high intensity as they beat HFL twice last year. It seems like they showed HFL that they won't be intimated by aggressive play.
What exactly do you mean by "inapropriate transgressions"? I agree that the HFL's Coach has his hands full at times keeping some of his players under control. Slowing down play with 15 seconds left in a game, is no reason to get excited. It is just a good soccer tactic that most teams use.
