Sutherland 1 Mendon 0
Spencerport 2 Athena 0

Sutherland vs Spencerport for the trophy, looks lke a great championship game.

Too bad it's on the turf. Not a big fan of Futbol on an artificial surface. :(

Way to go Spencerport!! Sutherland played a tough match.. Brandon Bianchi's goal was a bomb into the upper corner no keeper would stop, power & movement. Bianchi has to be one of the best players in the area. He has abillity to play the ball over distance accurately, dribble, shoot, tracks back & is good in the air.

I saw him play the other night and he can play in tight too. He handled a cross in the box, from his chest to his foot in one motion, turned to dump the ball to a waiting MF outside the 18 who pounded it home. Really sweet assist.

I was a bit surprised at Spencerport's only loss of the season but, I think they can win the AA title, the state play in game, and even advance past Section 6.

If Bianchi does not get AGR this year, there is definitely something wrong with the coaches who vote. I know that he is not the only good player in section V but this is a no brainer. I am curious as to who will get AGR first team in goal?? Hopefully not the keeper who just has nice stats, but can play at a top level game in & game out & has some solid stats as well. I still have not seen a keeper in section V who can dominate the 18, communicate loudly & correctly & just step onto the pitch & command a presence since Todd Page or Mike Compisi. I am showing my age here a bit.

Have you seen James Ingram play? Honestly I don't see Bianchi being that good. Easily shut down when Fairport's club team played his Cobras.

Club soccer????

Stop!!! No references to club, JV, Modified, Premier, Recreation, MLS or sandlot soccer hold any water here. C'mon fport, you know that.

I've held my tongue on commenting on the east side teams simply because I have not seen them play. Bianchi is LEGIT though, and only a Junior.

GK - I think the Beauvais keep from Hilton, is pretty solid. Again only commenting on the western MCL teams. Which is why I have them winning the AAA and AA crowns :D

Cobras is a ranked premier team, and you are really proving my point he didn't do anything against the Port's club team... that should give you an idea hes not hard to stop. And Club does have some value, I mean this is where most if not all kids play during the summer.

Your right fairport, he is not that good... please!! I guess Brian Bliss is interested in mediocre players to trial @ the Crew Academy, not good players. I went to fairport & if he played on my team in high school my coach would have loved him. Oh, by the way my coach was Steve Smith a legit coach ahead of his time as he& Doug May were the first guys around here to get their USSF A licenses. Look, before this gets out of hand, I dont profess to be THE authority on soccer but I know a top player when I see one. Go Red Raiders!!

Yes Portero we all know your credentials and your Soccer wisdom, but you've never played against this kid, you haven't grown up playing against this kid. I'm telling you right now every player I've talked to always says that he's overrated. He's only an impact player when you've never heard of him.

If I were fport, I'd abandon this argument. The kid has talent and most likely will land an AGR spot, and he's still only a Jr. It's blatantly obvious when you see him play. There's no need to have played on the same field to be an evaluator of talent.

Other players tell you he's overrated? Let's ask the coaches. I think their opinion is ALOT more valuable than fellow players. Stop making yourself look silly.

Guys, I just want to say we are all entitled to our opinions & sometimes people will not agree with my or someone else's evaluation.. no problem. I just dont want to see folks on here lose thier sh@#$> over something like this. yes I have had the good fortune of playing at a pretty good level & etc etc.. But the one thing I have never forgotten is that I need to have the attitude of wanting to always learn from others & never have the attitude that I have arrived.. Everytime I go to a high school or college game I try to learn something even if it is a simple little thing that can make me a better teacher of the game. I fought for this country so we can have different points of view on anything. Peace.

But you aren't me. How am I making myself silly? How about you tell that to the others on this site that get into much bigger "debates" than this. Honestly the coaches arent playing on the field, and most aren't all wise guru's of the game. That's great that hes going to land a spot on agr, we all know agr isnt the most accurate anyway. Take what you want I've had my say on this kid.

Well, I think there is more to this than we know.. This is just sad.. can we put this to bed? There are bigger fish to fry in this world, like people losing their lives so we can put our 2 cents in about this & about that..fptsoccer9 is free to voice his opinion even if it does not line up w/mine or whoever elses.

and thank you for serving the good ol U.S. of A. I salute you.

How about some sectional talk.

I think Spencerport has shown they can hang with the best in the west, which makes up the bulk of their schedule. I see them as AA winners so,who stands in their way at AAA? Since I haven't seen them, what does Penfield bring to the table?

I don't believe that Bianchi's Cobra team played Fairport last summer so it's tough to know if they shut him down or not. He's legit...a definite AGR. Spencerport should win AA without a whole lot of trouble and then will likely face either Penfield or Hilton in the qualifier.

No Im sure of it, I was there, but anyways where did Hilton come from? They've been beat up on for the past several years.

Hilton's Senior class has been challenging themselves since they were little guys. This is their year to "do something" other Hilton teams haven't done since the late 80's. Win a championship.
