Gates Chili

Gates Chili is fielding their first-ever modified field hockey team this spring. The team is wrapping up their season soon and they have done a very good job overall and they have a lot to be proud of! I haven't followed their whole season so I don't know all their scores, but today they beat Fairport for the 2nd time (2-0 the first time, 3-0 today), they have beaten Hilton twice (5-0 and 2-0), they beat Webster and Eastridge both by scores of 1-0, had a couple of ties (Mendon and Penfield). I think they only had one loss this season and it was in their first game.

Coach Tori Warzeski is doing great things with the G-C field hockey program and it looks like she is building towards a very solid future! Last year their Varsity team had their first tie, still looking for their first win at that level, but I am willing to bet that they win more than one this upcoming season.

Exciting stuff for this school, and potentially for the future of Sect. V field hockey! :)

Awesome stuff, It's funny because I saw the team practicing last week and thought it was a summer team. Learned something new today and hope I can be there when varsity gets their first win. I actually saw them score last year on a penatly shot.

Modified FH is in the spring. JV and Varsity are in the fall.
