I would have to say the teams that score the most runs.

Seriously at this point it is so hard to tell. While I really like what the Athena team has done my guess is that at some point soon they will run into a team with just better all around talent top to bottom in AA. Questions is if that is Niagara Wheatfield which I have heard has some talent. Either way it is fun to watch Athena upset team after team.

I don't see Mendon getting beat if they continue to put pressure on defenses by putting the ball in play. I am dumb founded that the Section V teams kept pitching to Grage who has a scorching hot bat right now. I do know the Depew coaches were at Brockport last week and took very detailed notes on Mendon including pitching tendencies, base running tendencies... Whether that was shared with Williamsville remains to be seen but Depew had a pretty long look and they have experienced coaches.

Don't know B and C or really D for that matter but I am very surprised our
3B/OF Carly Pike (Batavia ND) is dominating for a kid that doesn't pitch at all in the summer or train. She does throw hard but understands that to pitch at the next level you need to master much more than throwing hard so she elects to train her defensive and offensive skills in preparation for college.

Good luck to all the kids from Section V though as it is always fun to beat our neighbors when we can.
