Batavia? Have you added pieces that weren't on the team last year because unless I'm mistaken you guys ran like over 1:40 in sectionals last year.

But of course you can win the Class C 4x2, AQ(1st last yr) and Newark(2nd) are gone to Class B. Pal-Mac and Hornell are the only other contenders left.

Batavia did have 1 nice runner (Williams?) last year tho

Um..I'd check the Sectional results and the times that Alexander has put up before you decide whether they match up with Batavia or anyone else for that matter. One thing Alexander does very well year in and year out is track, both boys and grils. Stormin Morman ain't blowing smoke. You might be surprised.

Batavia was without one of its best runners in sectionals last year. They could have taken AQ

Batavia is hands down the favorite in class C. They are deeply talented in all things but distance, which they are improving on. They have one of the fastest runners in Section V, Rob Williams, also easily the fastest in Class C. JJ Cabrera is on the team this year also, and unless someone can jump 22'6" in LJ and over 43 in TJ he'll take first in both. I'm predicting a Batavia sectional win by a margin of at least 30 points this year.

i'm not an idiot, Batavia is closer to my house than Alexander is. But Alexander and Batavia ran a bunch of times last year and i don't recall Alexander ever losing to them. Plus Alexander made a 6th place finish at State-Q's while Batavia didn't qualify.

I don't know why all the discussion is about Batavia and Alexander's 4x2 teams when the best team resides in Oakfield. This is their best relay in 3 years and will dominate both of those schools

OA had no seniors on last years 4x2 bro sorry to tell you but your facts are wrong and if batavia is good competition for Alexander then we are too if our fastest time was only a second behind Batavia last year. I'm actually gonna go out on a limb and say that Batavia's 4x2 will beat Alexander this year unless there is somebody who can match up with williams and cabrera.

yeah, Friday at U of R of all places... but, the sectionv website says that the 4x2 isn't being run, just a 4x4 so we'll all have to wait to see who's top in the 4x2 till next Saturday

it's the first meet of the season you can only run a relay and one other event, and the 4x4 is the only relay so they should run it.

yeah we (aquinas) ran an alternate too this week. That time Alexander ran is impressive especially for not being at full strength.

As far as I could tell Edison, Mendon, and Aquinas had the three best times this week. But does anyone know if Edison ran their best team? That seems slow for those guys, they're pretty talented.

Then someone suggested making an off topic area to talk about things other than sports. The mods made it and posts in it do not count towards your overall post count.
