I think there's a good shot Sweeney will definitely have better numbers than any other QB in the East. I understand it's a close race with him and Hollenbeck but Sweeney is the best QB by far. He continues to put up consecutive games with 200+ yards passing every week. Really impressing me right now with what I'm seeing. Any arguments??

Sweeney is the best QB in the FLE and one of the top QBs in Secy V. He is big, strong and absolutely fearless in the pocket. He has a very strong arm (too strong at times....needs to work on touch passes) and is extremely accurate. Deceptively quick and can run when pressured but he always has his eyes down field. This kid is a special talent.

I beg to differ on the accuracy of Sweeney, he tends to throw many balls too far and occasionally forces a pass that isn't there. If you watch film, you can see that whenever he misses a guy, he is always long.

Exactly, passes thrown short or behind are picked off. If a QB misses it should always be long and out in front where his wr gets it or nobody gets it. They kid is smart and throws very few Ints.

he forces the pass long just like you said--worst case scenario incomplete--no pick--no sack--he understands the whole game

True id rather have an incompletion, that being said when he played wayne there were 3 or 4 times when he had a wr open for a sure td and led them too much. Ended up costing them the game.

I agree Sweeney is having a great year and the whole team keeps getting better each week. This years recs as a whole group are very good. They work hard and compliment each other well and they block!!!
Maybe not the standout studs of past teams like Junior Collins (Mt Union) Tyrone Collins (Wagner, CFL) Dom Mazzochi college basketball Matt Shutz start TE at Alfred. However this years group is exceptional.
Sweeney is also getting much better protection from an o-line that keeps improving.

Two ways to look at that. He puts it where only his receiver can get it, or he puts it where a good receiver can make a play on it.

I like Shanes throwing style of how he pushes the envelope and tosses those darts in where most qb's dont. Yea he might need to be a little more patient but dont confuse his playing style with impatience. The kid is a gamer and wants to win. He might have an over amount of incompletions but I have seen some recievers drop some nice passes from him. We all know those stats go on the qb. he improves every week as does his team, he is a tremendous leader

He could've and would've been the best in the FL last year as a Sophomore. If he didn't get hurt in the first game I believe he could've passed for more than 2000 yards with some of his targets last year. Great athlete physically and mentally.

They scored 55 points in each of the last 2 games. I'm sure he has some big numbers.

Wayne is one of those teams that you want to hit your WR on the money. If not there is extreme potential for a pick 6. Cory Mac is not one that you want to throw anywhere near for fear that he will pick it.
