Sick of seeing "Sad Year For Oakfiled" every time I sign on. Lets talk GR sectionals.
(1 seed) Notre Dame takes the field against (3 seed) Geneseo. Notre Dame has had some very close games this year, winning 3 by less than a touchdown. Their only loss comes from a then undefeated class a school, Barker. Geneseo lost week 1 to a CalMum team in a shut out victory and in week 4 in a close match up against sectional contending team in Avon. Look for this to be a close game. I take Geneseo by a TD.
(3 seed) Elba/BB goes up against (7 seed) Livonia. This will be the third year in a row Elba has made it to the Semis, losing in a shutout to Holley last year. Their regular season ended with bookend loses, week 1 to A school Barker and week 7 to sectional contending team Attica by 1 TD. Livonia comes out of arguably the best league in football, LIV 1. They ended 2-2 in that division with wins against a struggling teams Dansville and Bath and losses to undefeated powerhouse Hornell and a close lost to sectional contending team Wayco. I think this game is dependent on Elbas run game. I predict that if Debois has a strong game they win by more than 2 TD's.
(4 seed) Attica takes on (1 seed) Wayco. Again, Wayco comes from a very strong division in LIV 1. However Attica always comes to play hard and has the playoff experience. If Attica and control the clock and keep Waycos offense off the field this will be close. If not, it could be a barn burner. I predict Wayco by 21.
Overall, GR 1-2 in the semis this week.
Thoughts???

I think attica has a good chance against Way Co. I also think elba/BB has a good shot to get a win as well.
I think Geneseo is going to be to athletic for ND. I've got Geneseo by about 3 or 4 TDs.

I think all 3 GR teams will be ready and well prepared
Elba has played tough defense against our singlewing the last 3 seasons so I think they will be ready for Livonia's double wing
Attica is as mean as they come, they always think they will win which is half the battle
ND always plays good football with very few mistakes but they might need some trick plays to beat Geneseo

I agree with all of this except notre dame plays good football there the NUMBER 1 seed and you give them no respect you guys will be surprised on how tough they play

I think because the GR has gotten better everyone remembers all the blowouts so if you don't win by a bunch they think ND isn't that good instead of realizing the GR is getting better.

Im from Dundee we've seen them the last 4 years. I have nothing but respect for ND. I don't think they have the athletes Geneseo has. You are the no. 1 seed, but you also have the same number of losses as Geneseo and didn't play in nearly as difficult a league.

No, you are not correct my friend! Go look at the sectional brackets and see how many lower seeds are winning and by how much!! Seeds dont always mean they worked their asses off, sometimes it means they played alot of lesser talent maybe!? or play with an advantage!? Not always I agree but dont come on here and make it seem like seeding tells the story! ND is the #1 seed in the GR which was no where near as competitive as the Livingston teams "THIS" year. I will be there tonight and you are right we shall see what ND is really made of.

The only thing that was beaten into the ground was Barker's defense......

Again, that hasn't been said yet. I sure am glad we can stick to forum topics on this site.
