View Full Version : Crazy fans!

Section 5 has some great fans, and some bad ones like we've seen at the Blue Cross recently.
My favorites are Attica, Notre Dame and Oakfield fans because of the crazy things they do. Attica kids are nuts and I loved the "Holy Schmidt" chant a few years back.

Who has the best fans and what crazy things do they do?

Fairport and greece athena tie for my favorite two fan bases. Fairport managed to fill up two whole sections at Blue cross last year, and Greece Athena always comes up with some good stuff to say

The Wolf Pack is tailgating Friday if you're interested, Hilly.

We have some good chants and heckles ready for this year. We also have something in the works that this league hasn't seen since the 70s. Hopefully we can debut it on Friday.

I'll see what I can do about getting out there. I'm working on the preview this week so I don't know about games. Then another week of vacation :).
Basketball season doesn't get going for me until late Dec.

we have 25 crazies this year which is our most ever and were always doing very innovative/crazy/head shaking things. Make sure to check us out and attica vs. oakfield this year will not only be a bball battle but a battle for fan superiority.

Probably all the C-S fans would agree with me that the Rural Rowdyz are the best fans in Section 5. They always show up in force to all the C-S games and have their own chants.

After traveling to OA last year to watch Red Creek play them in the first round, i would have to say they have awesome fans, they dress up, paint their bodies and never quit cheering, it deffinetely gives the home team some encouragement. But best fans in Section V from what i've seen are from Oakfield-Alabama

I think East Rochester has some pretty wild fans haha. At away games 4 every sport for ER they had a desent size crowd. They always bring the noise and like RCfan32 said thats always good for the team. But also OA and RC have some pretty wild fans to. :)

Campbell-Savona's Rural Rowdyz takes the cake for me, andMcQuaid has some awesome fans too, way back when they were just starting to emerge and Jack Leasure was a Sophomore he'd come in and hit a few threes and the chants would start "He's a Sophomore, He's a Sophomore" I loved it....

Attica's fans are no where near the court during the game so they are not very influencial. They are all the way on the top of the balcony

CS has prolly the best student section around them...But as a past memeber of the squad CS seems to have some fair weather fans or no one to continue them as a elite cheer squad. Till they start up again they can't be put int he conversation unless your talking the past 5 years!

i do have to note that coach burke introduced my mother to wades mother before the game, and after learning that my mom cant cheer because of sinus surgery, wades mom remained silent last night as well. it was just an absolute testament to the classiness of prattsburghs entire program

I truly believe Mary Blevins from Batavia would dismantle either of these parents. I have heard Mrs. Bochicchio and she is no match for Mrs. Blevins.

Mrs. Blevins will yell her signature Woo Woo Woo Woo every time Batavia hits a big shot (or any shot for that matter). Trust me, this woman is one of the nicest ladies I've had the pleasure of meeting, but she certainly is the loudest.

i agree
pbrugh's gym is pretty small and it is always packed, even for the jv games
mrs. fuller is always in the stands stomping her foot and leading the crowd with cheers and other things to make the games even more interesting

Not sure as I agree about the CS fans being the best, hear some great stuff every year at the big house. I remember LOVING the "He's a Sophmore" chant by the McQ fans back then. and Leaure looked like a seventh grader out there compared to everybody else. GOOD STUFF!

CS USED to have a great cheering section that brought the home court advantage to EVERY game up until this year. They had many original chants and painted up with "jersey's" of players 1-8 on the team. They were loved and hated and got much praise from the media as well. Wish CS didn't have so many fair weather and "scared" fans or else I think the Rowdyz would be back in full force again...

Long live the Sombrero and the Rowdyz
