Pre-season GR rankings

Just for fun, I'm going to rank the teams in the GR. I'm sure nobody will agree and will rip me, but that's the fun of sports.
Here's my rankings:

1. Attica
2. Notre Dame
3. Oakfield (even without Davis they should be good)
4. Elba
5. Wheatland-Chili
6. Pembroke
7. Alexander
8. Kendall
9. Byron-Bergen
10. Lyndonville
11. Holley

also, hilly posted this in virtually the preseason, considering that only 7 games have been played so far.

Elba OA and ND games between the 3 teams are always fun to watch. The gyms are always loud and the atmosphere is nuts

Go to Attica/Alexander and I guarantee its the best atmosphere, especially in years when its competitive. Easily the biggest rivalry in the GR.

Elba put onions all over ND's old leprachaun statue and once burned a leprechaun a stick. Both rivalry's are nuts but the Elba ND rivalry used to be the best. It's died down recently because the students get along. But now that Zambito's are going to ND the rivalry could heat up again.

Agreed totally. In 05 when we played ND in the sectionals in Elba, the game was sold out to the public, you could not get a ticket at the gate. the game started at 7pm and at 5pm a line was forming outside of the gym with people trying to get the best seats. I remember that night well, both the Elba and ND fans had alot of fun and at times I couldnt even here myself think. Now that was fun!

Crazy stuff happened boy. I also remember leaving OA's field in 01 after a football game and people were throwing onions at my assistants and I. It does get pretty crazy. As long as its all in fun, I think its great that fans "go nuts" like they do in OA, Attica and ND.

First of all, wait til attica plays league games and you will see why they won't be first. Elba ND OA are all better "TEAMS" than attica. WOLFLEY CANNOT WIN GAMES ALONE. No doubt Attica has potential, but until they prove they can be a gr dominating team, they aren't number 1. And ND as fifth? Should be at least second. If anyone watched them play this weekend they would change that ranking quickly.

really no matter how you look at it, the past records don't matter. it can either be a good indicator or a bad one. this is a differant year and by easily dominate, he means that they will win. an easy domination over a team which has beaten you the past few years is like an 8 point win.

yes. i know easy domination sounds like a 60-30 but i assure you, nothing close to that will happen. more like 52-60
