What looked like a possible blowout at the beginning of the season has shaped into a good game.
Pembroke certainly has talent in Babcock and Wright but their guard play has been atrocious. No one has shown they can score from beyond the arc.
Alexander on the other hand has the exact opposite problem. They rely on Bender and their other guards to keep them in the game. Their play from big men has just been awful to say the least.
So who wins this one? I'm saying Alexander in a 53-51 thriller.

I think that Pembroke will keep tight with them and even have leads through out the game but in the end Alexander will be the winner because personnaly i think they have more depth. Zack Leitten and Jake Quinn will be the deciders to the game. If they play good they will win.

After Wright and Babcock are through with Alexander only Quinn will be left, the rest of team will be injured with bad ankles. Also Leitten will not play tonight due to his name being mentioned in the Mitchell Report.

I think it will be a close game, Wright and Babcock have been playing very good but Mauer has played very good as well. He has not hit any thing beyond the arc and hopefully someone will step up and do that but Mauer has a very good jump shot. There are a couple shooters on the bench though that might come off and get some playing time but hopefully they step up and hit some shots. I think that has been there biggest problem is scoring.

You call six points for Babcock and four for Wright playing well. Apparently Pembroke has low expectations.

Haha, Pembroke had a bad game in general against Attica. I'm sure they will rebound against Alexander.

Pembroke beat Alexander tonight, pretty convincly. Pembroke led 16-0 after the first quarter, which was remarkable. Alexander came back late to make it interesting, but it was mostly in garbage time. Outside of Bender, their team looked worse then usual.

You have to hand it to Alexander; after falling behind 18-0 they never gave up. With 7 minutes left in the game it was 51-29 Pembroke. Alexander then went on an 18-0 run of their own to make it 51-47 with a minute left. Unbelievable run.

What I saw from this game was almost the opposite of what I expected. I was expecting Alexander to dominate the weak guard play of Pembroke and Babcock to dominate inside. This was not the case though because outside of Bender, Alexander's guard play was horrible and they turned over the ball like crazy. On the other side I saw Pembroke's guards step up and create turnovers and hit big shots, especially Maurer. Babcock played ok but I thought it was Pembroke's guards to go with turnovers by Alexander which gave Pembroke the win last night.

I agree. Outside of Bender there was nothing generated from the guard play of Alexander. Woodruff needs to step up and shoot the way he's done in the past. Their forwards also need to start playing better.
Alexander showed alot of heart.
Babcock blended in and Wright didn't impress me too much. He played decent and Mauer was suprising and shot well.
Very sloppy game from what I saw.
