I know Canaserega has 4 sophs but I haven't seen them play yet so I can't comment but here's my top 5:
1. Garrett Parker-Prattsburgh
2. Brennan Thurber-J-T
3. Brandon Bulley-H'port
4. Pat Wightman-Prattsburgh
5. Ryan House-H'port

Zach Sutton from Campbell-Savona is better than all of them, Garret is definately better shooter but Zach can do create more.

I haven't seen C-S this year. I haven't heard of him or read his name in the stat sheet that's why I left him off the list.

i definately think that its parker
he is outstanding in his 3's and only getting better
he is also a starter on prattsburgh which is already a strong team as it is

is a starter for C-S..not exactly a weak club.

He probably deserves to be on the list in place of Ryan House. Maybe even ahead of Pat Wightman, but I think Bulley, Thurber, and Parker are more important to their teams.

Parker is extremly good ill give you that but can he drive...thats why JJ Reddick was only called a great shooter for so many years yah he was a great player but he only really shot 3's until his last 2 years with duke he finally started to take it to the rack...i havnt seen parker play yet this year and im not trying to disrespect him the kid is a great player but is he one dimensional if so a defense should be able to stop him...im not bagging the kids game his a excellent player and can only get better under jim burke

I was the first person to say he was one dimentional. I have to say now that he has proven me to be wrong at least a little bit. He may not be the best at driving but he can go inside and grab boards and plays pretty smart for a soph. We all know Burke lets his players know when they've made mistakes and I don't remember too many times that Parker has been spoken to.

You say it would be easy to stop him if you know all he can do is shoot. Sometimes it's not that easy. Would you rather have Wade take a lay-up? Lots of times that is the choice that teams have to make. Wade can drive and then he has the option to shoot or kick it out to Parker depending on how the defence reacts.

I agree with that its extremely tough to stop and if you dont hes to the rack for to...but what if on their run in the post season they run into a really good big and quick defensive team that can stop wade and rotate in time to parker....what would happen then?

your right there probally wont be a team in sectionals like that but im excited to see the matchup between them and Batavia Notre Dame which i believe they play on the January 12...whats your take on that game do you think pratsburg can handle them or will BND handle them rather easily like they have most teams this year

Batavia beat them the first time but I think it will be a lot different Prattsburgh team this time. They have matured a little and are more experienced. I'm not saying Prattsburgh will win but i at least think it will be close. I can't wait. It will be a great game. The hype reminds me of last year between C-S and Prattsburgh. We are seeing more and more of state ranked teams playing lately because of how good Section V is.

Garrett Parker is easily the best sophmore in SCL.
He is leading his team in scoring and Prattsburgh is the best team in SCL so that is pretty impresive.

What about Thurber for J-T? He is a very strong post player that has helped J-T to one loss record. He is surrounded by a good group of guards that are going to get the majority of the shots. He does a lot with the ball when he gets it and he cleans up the boards very well. He will be more difficult to stop in the next two years than Parker, Sutton, Wightman, etc. The only thing he has that will hold him back is the fact that J-T hasn't had many bigs in their system and their offenses are not based on post play.

I put him second on my list because Parker scores more and is on a better team. Thurber may turn out to be the better player but right now I have to go with Parker. Heck, these kids all have two more years. Even Bulley, Sutton or some of the others could step up and become the better player. I'm just happy seeing the good players that they are right now.

I'm from J-T, so I have seen all of their games this year, and Brennan Thurbar deserves major props. He is an absolutely great post player that can out-muscle anyone he wants. Not to mention he can hit that Mid-range J also. This kid is for real. He deserves to be 2nd in the league only behind Garret Parker.

yeah he has his games just like anyone else. i saw him playing prattsburg tonight and he put up 2 big 3's in wade fullers eye. also being 5'6" he played good underneath the hoop tonight which is good since hes one of the shortest in the scaa

Yeah I was at the game and he was impressive tonight, only one of those shots was a 3, but he did have a solid performance last night.
