How about the two oldes Luxons from Oakfield as the best dunkers of all time.

I don't know about the Luxons, but Wolfley can throw down some sick dunks. He's thrown down some windmills, and other amazing dunks in warm ups. As for dunks in games, I think it was the home opener against Holley last year, when Cole Repka and Wolf combined on an alley-oop, and the dunk over Donovan Flint last year at Alexander was amazing.

Matt Luxon was 3rd in the dunk contest in the Section V Ronald McDonald Game. Jesse Luxon could dunk pretty good too. I've never seen Josh dunk though.

Not alot to choose from. Come to a City-Catholic or Monroe County game. You will see 5'8" guys that can and will throw down. I bet most of you haven't seen a real dunk unless it's been on ESPN.

You mention about three guys in the whole league that can dunk LOL

UNCTarheels
01-02-2008, 12:55 PM
It's the same with the Steuben county league. It's one of the downfalls of the smaller leagues and teams, is that there's usually only one or two guys who can dunk on a regular basis, I tell you one thing it does make you appreciate it a lot more when you only see it one or two times a season rather than 3 or 4 times a game. Last season Campbell-Savona had I believe 4 or 5 guys who could dunk and for our league that was very rare.

It doesn't happen often but when it does it makes it that much more special.

He definitely had hops. I remember back in eighth grade ball I heard he dunked against JP Coles of Pembroke, who could also dunk pretty good.

Is Charlie D'Agostino related to Phil D'Agostino? I think Phil was the same age as Matt Luxon. Phil was a good pitcher in baseball too.

Forgot to put this in the post above, but Tom had a really nice two-handed dunk against Romulus his senior year in the sectional finals, but got T'd up for hanging on the rim. I thought the call could have gone either way because there were people under the basket and he didn't want to land on them, and he really didn't hang up there too long.

He did win the dunk contest of in the GR/Livingston All-Star game though.
