I know it's only like 10:15 p.m., but I wanted to personally wish everybody on this site a great new year.
I would love to see all the local athletes have the most amount of success possible and enjoy playing sports to the fullest this upcoming year.
All of the media people on here ... have a great night off and I hope you all realize - like I have - that we are lucky to be doing what we do and we are blessed to be covering such great kids and awesome competition.
To all the fans, I want to tell you to keep it up in 2008. You guys love sports and it is awesome how you show support for your classmates and friends. Without you guys the athletes wouldn't have as much fun playing as they do and the media guys wouldn't have a reason to do what we do. I will admit that I have grown to love the Oakfield crazies and the Attica Wolfpack this year, but all fans are great. I hope you all realize that I am just a fan like all of you, but have a degree and a job that allows me to tell others what I see.
If I wasn't getting paid I'd be in the trenches with you guys watching the great competition we have in Section 5.

I hope everybody has resolutions ...
I will list mine.
1. I want to make myself available to the fans as much as I can and get to know as many as I can. If you guys see me at a game, please come talk to me or get a pic with me or whatever. I am not shy and I want to know what you guys think about area sports.
2. I want to keep doing what I've done in terms of coverage and make it even better. I'm only one person and I can only do so much, but I'm always trying to improve on my coverage. I am lucky to have this job.
3. I - along with the other mods on this site - want to make this THE place to go for Section 5 sports. Give us feedback and work with us to make this website the best it can be. What you guys tell us means something.

Everybody have a great New Years and be safe. :D

Despite what the final score said, the Ice Bowl was definitely worth attending :D

I am not a hockey fan, but I was going to go. Gutman couldn't get me a pass though :(

Icebowl was great espically in HD at TurnTwo's, although he slept through it.
