Bath opens with East Rochester and has no game for week 7 because Canisteo, Letchworth, or Batavia will not play them for the crossover.

Any idea how good Watertown and Horseheads will be next year?

Traditionally, Watertown hasn't been very good. Horseheads is a AA school and played a tough schedule last season. They played Monroe Woodbury just about even for three quarters before MW pulled away. The final score of that game is a bit deceiving. Geneva plays both teams at home so they don't have to worry about travel for those games. They play Waterloo and Batavia away.

Geneva plays at Batavia? That could be a game worth going to

I'm very interested to see how that Horseheads game comes out. Living so close to the Corning/Elmira area it is always interesting to see how Section V compares to the local Section IV teams. As I mentioned in previous post I was hoping that Bath would schedule one of the Corning schools this year, I think there could be a very good rivalry there. Doesn't sound like that is going to happen though.

Geneva was in talks to play either Owego, Johnson City, or Chenango Forks for their two non league games and Watertown and Horseheads took their place. I love the matchups between the different sections and think they really help teams prepare for the playoffs.

It could be. I'm not sure what Batavia's JV team did or how much talent they had, and I know their talented WR graduated, but they seem to be on the upswing. Geneva returns 18 of 22 starters from last years team, and there's a possibility they might get a transfer who would fill in a position left behind by a 1st team all-stater...

Awfully tough group of parent " advocates ", Mike, who make coaching at HHeads very difficult. Don't you think ?? I realize they are a large school and people seek better results , but Gryska always seemed like a good guy ( with a good plan )whenever I spoke to him. Great stats to offer them so quickly. Thanks !
