both are great players, but which one is better right now ... marci jonathan (elba) or heidi norton (notre dame).

This is about as blatant an attempt to foment controversy as was the ill-advised and factually incorrect column about Notre Dame's reclassification in the Batavia Daily News. Trying to get people riled up at the risk of two youngsters' feelings and reputation would seem a ploy to bait people into offering biased opinions to pump up a fledgling message board. Two young ladies with very different physical attributes and athletic abilities, playing in two different systems, under two different philosophies and you want to open them up to anonymous criticism from people who may have only seen either one play a couple games? I had hopes that this message board might take a higher tone than the forum linked to from the Section V website, but I appear to have misplaced hope.

It's called being able to express an opinion. I think so far everyone on here has been very respectful. You have fans from several teams but everyone has the right to an opinion. This is a great place to talk to paople about basketball despite the fact that it's new. If you know of a better forum, please tell me. This doesn't have the trash talk and nonsence that Syracuse.com has.

did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or something?
the notre dame/elba rivalry is probably the best in this area - up there with le roy/cal-mum football - and norton and jonathan are both awesome players that lead their teams. it is not a question to get people to trash one player or another, it is a question to get people to talk about the good qualities in each player and give an opinion as to which one the person responding thinks is better.
i think you took it the wrong way and are a little too sensitive. the only negative post i've seen on this forum yet is the only one you posted. people are here to talk about high school sports, not look for a reason to argue with somebody on the internet.

Wow, you have to be kidding me! You have obviously seen enough threads on the old message board to understand that comparing good players to one another is something that occurs on a daily basis. And your ridiculous attempt to throw in the BDN article into this thread, which has nothing to do with this thread BTW, is ridiculous.
Just for spite - I think Jonathon is a little better, only due to the fact that she has better footwork and more moves with her back to the basket.
