County 1st team

Well we have over a week off with the midterm break so we need to pick up the Wayne County Chatter.


At this point of the season Who is worth of a 1st team Honor. It usually is about 5-7 players.


1. Michael
2. Danizzio
3. Sterns
4. Hall
5. Barber
6. Roden



Who is Coach of the year? This is based on the success a coach has with the talent on the team, not just the best record.

I think Molisani from Marion has gotten the most out of his team.

Most Improved Team from last year?

Coach Mitchell from Williamson, 2-14 League Last year to 6 now and possibly over 10 wins this year.

Most Disapointing Team?

I thought NRW and coach Hoyt would have a better year then 3 league wins and 4 overall

This is different than my Wayne County Dream Team... but if I had to vote today for 5 players, it'd be....

1.) Sean Michele - makes ER the team it is
2.) Trevor Stearns - best big man in the league
3.) Anthony Roden - tough
4.) Jon Pafundi - smart, athletic big guy
5.) Max Barber - putting up good numbers as leading scorer on his team

Coach of the Year
Bill Mitchell - solid year from a program without a past

Most Improved Team
Williamson - as stated above

Most disappointing
Everyone is where I expected them so I don't think I could pick one

just curious... how is it even possible that danizio is player of the year but not 1st team wayne county????

In my experiences in high school and college - the players that receives the most votes is given player of the year - and that is a highest honor - example the SUNYAC - the vote - the player with the most is the player of the year. He has done the most to make his team better, and in this case the best. Just my thoughts!:)

alright i see what your saying. all im saying though is he should be 1st team county AND player of the year. if thats the case.

That is true, Player of the Year is not usually included in the 1st team.

Player of the Year : Sean Michele - He makes everything that happens for that team happen, great shooter, passer and ballhandler. Add 4 inches to his height and he would be a D-1 player

1.Danizo - Averaging nearly 20 a game along with 4 apg and spg
2.Sterns - Great scorer and good defender
3.Pafundi - A force to be reckoned with underneath, good foul shooter
4.Barber - Good scorer and shooter
5.Roden - Extremely athletic, gets points from range and in the paint. Best rebounding guard in the county
