Avoca did all its scoring in the third inning to take an opening-day win against Canisteo-Greenwood on Monday. Sara Becker gave up three hits and struck out six for the Tigers, while Emily Benton, Allison Cagle and Alicia McFarland each drove in a run. Canisteo-Greenwood was led by Ashley Ahearn's two RBI.-The Leader

Bradford 0

Cassandra Baker went 3-for-3 at the plate with three stolen bases and three runs scored Monday, leading Addison to a win against Bradford. Courtney Ergott went 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and two Stolen Bases for the Knights, who haven't allowed a run and have only given up four hits in two games this season, While Liz Gorges went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a stolen base. Sam Jones, who had three RBI on Monday, pitched a no-hitter through three innings before giving the mound to Kayla Dann. Bradford was led by Tasha Gee, who had the Braves only hit and two stolen Bases.

Livingston County

Bath-Haverling 27
LeRoy 11

Rachel Moore went 5-for-6 with six runs scored, a double, and two RBI Monday, leading Bath-Haverling to a 27-11 season opening softball win against Livingston County Rival LeRoy.
Becky Scheid went 3-for-6 with four runs scored, four RBI and a triple, while Kara Volz hit a three run triple. Andrea Townsend had three RBI and Courtney Fuller drove in two runs for the Rams. "It's a nice win coming back with this group, but defensively we were a little shaky," Said Bath Coach Kevin Furness who returned as skipper of the Rams after a two-season hiatus. "I was proud they kept at it with the bats and sprayed it around." Bath Led 10-3 entering the fourth inning when LeRoy scored eight runs to take an 11-10 lead. Bath answered with six runs in the bottom half and 11 in the 5th to end the game. -The Leader

Sarah Dieter went 3-for-4 with an RBI, Lisa Hunt went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Kayla Hoppough went 2-for-3 with Two RBI for Livonia (2-0)-D&C

Caledonia-Mumford 4

Sara James finished 4-for-4 with a double, triple, two stolen Bases and Two RBI's for Way-Co (1-0) against Cal-Mum. Brooke Weidman was 3-for-3 with Two Stolen Bases and Three RBI Morgan Kuhn and Weidman combined for 17 Strikeouts and gave up only three hits.-D&C

Senior Lindsey Grace threw a No-hitter with 11 strikeouts to lead Honeoye.
Kelly Maloney went 3-for-4 with a two run home run and Grace helped her own cause, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles for the Bulldogs. Grace a right-hander, struck out the side in the third,fourth and fifth.-D&C

After falling behind Campbell-Savona 2-0 after one inning, Addison scored 14 unanswered runs to earn a 14-2 SCAA Softball victory on the road wednesday. The Knights are 5-0. They were led by three hits from Courtney Ergott and Jessica Strope and two hits each from Brittany Loucks, Sierra Pavlick, Sam Jones and Angie Holden. Kayla Dann struck out seven and walked only one for the knights

Prattsburgh 5

A five-run sixth inning helped push Bradford to its first softball win of the season (also 1st varsity win in Girl's sports this school year as both the soccer and Basketball teams went winless) over Prattsburgh Monday. Autumn Stone struck out 15 for the Braves, While Rebekah Webber had a 3-for-3 day at the plate. Chelsea Houck added two hits for Bradford.-The Leader

A five run sixth inning capped off an 8-2 win for Addison Monday at home. Jessica Stope went 3-for-4 at the plate, while Liz Gorges and Danielle Hill added two hits apiece. Sam Jones struck out 8 C-G batters and picked up the Win.
