Who's the best coach!!!??? Here's a list of the top coaches (in my opinion) in Monroe County baseball.
Jeff Murphy - Hilton
Jason Bunting - Athena
Mike Adams - Webster Thomas
Coach Ruggeri - Arcadia
Bo Bertino - Pittsford Mendon
How would you rank these coaches? Am I right with my top 5?

Take Adams out of that equation. He's a very whiny guy who has had talent there since the shcool opened up. You definitely need to throw Cappeluppo into that equation. Worst season he has had is a sectional final loss but I will agree with the others. To be a good coach you need to take a team with some talent and make them a great team and not just inherit great teams and get to a point where you are supposed to play at. I would take any of the 4 Greece coaches. All have one sectional titles with holes in their lineups and usually get the most out of their kids. wasserman has also done a great job over at Brighton the last 3 or 4 years
sucka.

he's been there for 2 years and he won a division title and made it 2 the sectional finals so i would say you can have him on that list.
sucka.

well thomas is saying there going to be real tough this year so we'll find out they got a good pitcher returning so were gonna find out if he can take a good team far without any pure dominant teams in AA

needs at least 6 0r 7 seasons to put him in there. give me a break.
sucka.

well in his first 2 seasons he's been 32-11-1 so he obviously deserves to be somewhere up there cause hes obviously proven he's a winner after only 2 seasons
sucka.

he's already in the mix..and this year he'll have his sectional title cause who can beat hilton in AAA with black on the mound and there lineup
sucka.

okay that doesnt make any sense considering hiltons returning 7 of 9 starters and they made it all the way 2 the sectional finals behind the underclassmen leading the way so now with more experience they are even better

The coach from Livonia is one of the best. His name escapes me at the moment, but I know he has to be up there.

Cappeluppo does deserve to be mentioned. Your right about Murphy, he needs sectional titles to be considered the best, but his record these past two seasons has me high on him. He's been really successful considering how terrible Ory Mee's teams were before he took over. To go from really bad to top team in the league takes more than just better players, it takes a good coach as well.

thats fair enough....i would replace Ruggeri with Murphy though just on the basis of his success the last two years, he totally transformed the hilton program
how many sectional titles has ruggeri won? (im not arguing the fact you put him on ur list im just wondering)

Coaching Isn't always about winning titles. Yeah it helps to elevate your status to people who know nothing about what your team accomplished. A great coach is someone who exceeds the expectation of the team by improving each and every player. I think Murphy does this very well. I'm sure other coaches do it just as well but others win on just the talent presented to them.

Understood. This year may help him in the rankings with the strong Hilton team.

i can agree with that, your saying that on the basis of total wins (championships obviously included) hes not top 5, but he is a good coach? thats what ur sayin?
