I think we have to start motivating some coaches to call in their scores ( win or lose ) for baseball. It is tough to find out results for baseball games played yesterday. ( Monday ) The D & C had no results, yet posted, for yesterday's games, the Corning Leader can only report what coaches send them ( sometimes nothing ) and there are never any results posted ( other than seeding points ) on the sectionV.org website. Football and basketball coverage are excellent and current. On line newspapers are sometimes a little tardy with their postings, but there is no esxcuse for the coaches who neglect to call in results for their players and team's efforts on the field. It is cumbersome, but a necessary part of the coaching responsibilities. I find myself coming to Sectionv Talks Back, first, because it is easier to navigate and find resulting scores.

Last night Bath defeated Wayland-Cohocton 11-5. Brad York (jr.) pitched 6 1/3 innings before tiring in the 7th. Mike Rossi ( soph. ) came in to record the final two outs via strike outs for Bath. Matt Whedbee ( soph. ) has a double and triple for Bath. Billy Crowe, Bath's sophomore catcher, has two hits, also.
Pitcher, Brad York, helped his own cause with a HR over the right field wall. First baseman, Mike Rossi, took one deep over the centerfield fence to cap a 2-3 day, to close out the scoring for Bath.

Bath is now 6-3 and plays Dansville on Wednesday. After that, the big showdown will be to see how the young kids from Bath stack up against the veterans from Livonia ( 6-3 ) on Friday @ Livonia.
