Another fantastic job of not picking any small school players. AGR is an award for the city, not Section 5.

It's almost like if you were from a small school you'd have to average 35+ points 15+ rebounds 10+assists/blocks/steals per game too get a chance to make it

I can't wait for the boys to come out.
Wolf and Mike Hoy are going to be the only two kids from my coverage area I'm guessing. I think Bryan Anderson, Alex Williams and Bo are all at least worthy of a look, but won't get one.

I am not trying to start an argument but who would you add to the list?

what small school kid belongs next to someone like Fenyn/Johnson?

It would be nice if they did 2 teams with less players..One small school and one large school

AGR is for the BEST players. If you want a feel good all-star team, than maybe you should start one.

I am sure that there were plenty of small school AGR players over the years. I am also sure that the team is representative of the best players, which is what AGR has stood for all these years.

There is not a small school bias, it's just a fact that most of the best players play for the bigger schools.

A few names over the years that come to mind without doing research.

Farney from S.Seneca was AGR
Jones from Arkport was AGR

Every coach gets to nominate players, shame on the coach of the teams you covered for not participating if he/she didn't.

Hilly, give us your thoughts on who was snubbed.

I will say that there are players who are picked based on their name....Alport from HFL made soccer AGR and only played in like 5 games.....Toth was AGR first team yet Tegas won league MVP and only made second team...If the paper doesnt see you play you have to be twice as good to make teams.

Coaches votes are only part of the equation....How many great players on bad teams are there. If you dont get DC to your game your chances are smaller....

Allport did not make AGR this past season in soccer due to her injury. She made AGR in previous seasons.

jones made it from arkport and she wasnt even the best player is steuben county league that year. there coached piled the stats up against weaker temas against the good teams just a averaged ball player who shot to much.

She did make 2nd team....With the limited amount of games she played we are to be convinved that she had one of the top 32 seasons for section v girls soccer....If she hadnt made team last year....Would she have been on team this year. IS she a great player...OF COURSE.... Did she havee a great season OF COURSE NOT....

Name the better players that year in Stueben. If there was somebody better than Jones in Stueben, I want to know who this player that all of these D1 coaches missed out on.

well what i think was the better overall player was lauren foster of jt. she played point gaurd on off. played the other teams best scorer in man to man def when they went zone she played under the beasket. lauren finshed with over 2000 points and 700 rebounds and help lead jasper troupsburg to there only section v championship. she did not go div 1 played 1 year at houghton and last year she was the starting goalie on there soccer team that went to nationals. i am not saying jenn jones was not a great ball player she was but when the big games against jt came she only scored 11 points and 3 points. if thats a great div 1 player she should score more than that against a class dd team.

Make two different games for large and small school players

How about we stop giving everyone an award? The top 15 players tend to be from large schools. There were at least 3 large school kids that made all-state but didn't make AGR. I saw some of the kids you named and if they played a full large school schedule it would not happen. As for players in the GR this year, your buddy Hilly is a homer and needs to see more games. The GR was ver weak this year.

The bit you put in that post saying that Hilly is a homer is completely ignorant
