SCL Nightly results

Since there is no website to display the nightly scores and stats, how about we post the scores on here for the Steuben County League.

I've heard a couple:

A-A: 10
Avoca: 7
Avoca had 10 errors and I heard Wallace got hurt??? I'm not sure but if that's true, Avoca could be in trouble

Arkport: 8
J-T: 5

i really hope this is not true or else it is a minor injury, wallace has alot of talent and he means alot to that avoca squad playing avoca would not be the same

I can confirm that his catcher stepped on his hand but I don't know the extent of his injury

His catcher stepped on his hand during routine drills Wednesday night at practice and his hand got cut up a little bit from spikes, but being a "Warrior" like he is Joe insisted on throwing last night.

He started out walking the first 3 batters he faced and later settled down, but tied 6-6 in the 5th he gave up a decisive 3 run homer and they were never able to recover losing 10-7.

rough 1st game for the tigers, but to have 10 errors and still be in the game right till their last at bat isn't too bad. They'll get better that I can guarantee

The game was originally scheduled for Friday but Bradford moved it to Thursday because of Vacation.

Hammondsport handled alfred pretty easily last night. Baroody picked up the win on the hill while helping his own effort going 2 for 3 at the plate. The lakers got a little sloppy in the middle innings having a few errors letting the eagles back into the game a little. Brian stachnik hit a 2 run double in the top of the seventh to give the lakers a 4 run cushion. Jake Clarkson then came in to slam the door shut striking out 3 in the last inning. A good game by both teams.

JT played well against Addison. JT's Branden Cornish, a freshman, handcuffed the Knights and picked up 12 K's on the hill in 5 2/3 IP. In all, Addison was only able to record 4 hits at the plate. JT had 11 hits while posting 2 errors in the field. The Wildcats of JT just might not be cellar dwellers in the SCL this year!

Dont get me wrong i meant no disrespect to the Wildcats i was just trying to figure out why the game was so close i just thought that with addisons talent they would be able to handle jt...not saying jt is a cellar dwellar and that they werent any good just the way they were last year i wasnt sure....i was just trying to figure stuff out sorry if i offended anyone.

hitting really turned up for the lakers in the middle innings and finished strong a little to many errors for the lakers though, addison has some hitters il tell ya they can really put the ball in play and there fielding is great.
