Bath dropped another one run game last night to Class A HFL. As has been the story against solid ball clubs, Bath committed 4 errors leading to 5 unearned runs that proved to be their downfall. To their credit, they battled back from a 5-2 deficit and rallied to tie the score in the top of the 7th inning, 5-5. HFL scored the game winner in the bottom of the 7th inning on a bases loaded single for the victory.

Mike Rossi pitched through 6 innings giving up 5 runs on 6 hits and he struck out 7. An error by the shortsop led to HFL's first run. A fly ball was dropped with two outs allowing two runs to score in the 4th. In the 6th another error by the shortstop and a dropped throw to first from the catcher led to runs 4 & 5. Brad York relieved in the 7th and pitched a scoreless inning. He suffered the loss on a single through the middle to end the scoring.

Billy Crowe ( soph. ) and Montana Yastremski ( soph. ) each had two hits. Mike Rossi ( soph. ) roped a double to score Bath's first runs. It is great to have young players performing so well at this level of ball, but Bath must play defense to compete with " the big boys."

All of Bath's last four losses have been by one run.
Livonia 4-3 in extra innings
Penn Yan 4-3
C-West 4-3
HFL 6-5 extra innings

They have proven they can play with anyone, but must now prove they can win against anyone. We will see !?
