it's great to see letchworth playing as well as they are. tim mcmullen is a class guy and he runs a solid program.
campbell-savona, east rochester and marion are all very good teams. can the indians win class ccc?

I think it would be tough for them to beat C-S. I do think they will take East Rochester's spot in the final though.

C-S is a perennial powerhouse and have played ER in the championship game 3 consecutive games. What can help Letchworth is falling on the other side of the CCC bracket and have the opportunity to play C-S in the finals, rather than the semis. I've known Tim McMullen for years and I hope this year the Indians will make a great run towards that CCC crown.

They've won 3 straight sectional titles and are the defending class C regional and state Champions. They've made 5 straight sectional finals apparences losing in the Class C final to Geneseo in 2002 and then losing to Marion in the Class CC final in 2003 Before capturing the CC Sectional title in 2004, in 2005 they went into sectionals undefeated and captured their 2nd straight sectional title before losing to fellow undefeated and eventual state champion Sodus. I believe they went 24-1 that year before winning states last year and going 24-3 those were impressive losses at they were to BB Hornell who went 22-1 last year and to AAA Horseheads-4 and Newfield from Section 4 the only C school to beat them last year.
this years squad is solid, their only loss was to Class A Elmira-Southside from Section 4. They play stellar defense and have a good mix of weapons, they're very athletic I believe there are 5 or 6 guys who can dunk, they have a good big man in 6'7" Zack Simpson, and a verstaille star player in Will Cornett, solid shooter and Jumping Jack Sean Mourhess, and Maynard Crane who's also verstaille he can play inside and outside.
They've got a real good chance at another sectional title, Teams like Letchworth, Marion and East-Rochester don't see many teams like Campbell-Savona their Defense and Pressure and the ability they have to bang it inside, Score from the outside, score on transition and in the halfcourt makes it very difficult for teams to prepare for. they're good they rely on fundementals and they're fun to watch if you get a chance to see them play hilly you should, i guarantee you walk away impressed

sounds like letchworth will have their hands full with that matchup. i'm sure i will get a chance to see them play come sectional time. i spend a lot of time at the blue cross so i'll make sure to stick around to see them, even if they aren't playing letchworth.

Letchworth has the luxury this year of having a very athletic class that did very well in Football as well. They don't have the same type of All-Star basketball players that C-S has, but they do have size and athletic ability which coupled with Coach McMullen's constant emphasis on fundamentals should take them pretty far.

Gotta agree with Drew, Letchworth should be a tough matchup for anyone in sectionals. The Buttles kid is a monster, physically speaking. Saw him up close a few times during the football season and he's a big kid. Quick too. CCC teams might have trouble with him if he wants to play physically in the post.
And just to clarify - C-S and ER have only met in the title game 2 years in a row. In 2004, C-S beat then #1 in the state Lyons in the finals. They did play ER in sectionals that year however, beating them pretty easily at C-S in the Panther's first sectional game.
