That would be a hell of a matchup. Byron Bergen was so stacked last year with the Gaurino's (prolly spelled wrong), that Scott kid, and that other sprinter. I wasn't too familiar with Oakfield's team last year though.

Yeah, Zach Green was the sprinter I was talking about. The Guarinos were crazy. They could run anything from 400 and up. Although so could Brummert and Fitch.

He has never done long jump before but my guess is that he is going to get around 18 feet. The 1500 will prolly be his weakest event but he should still have a fairly decent time in it and his hurdles and high jump will definately make up for it.

our record is 2653 and he was on pace to easily get it even with having a bad day in hurdles he only got 16.71 and he went 15.21 yesterday

I think when he did it at Webster he threw 29 something in shot but he said he can do way better than that.

Worst meet ever = Oakfield Invitational 2007. Literally like 40 degrees with rain and high winds! I'd definately take rain with mid 60's than that sorta crap.

Haha, I agree on worst meet, but only because of the weather and the fact that the officials were DQing people for wearing under armor with 2 logos. And yes, that was the worst track meet I have ever attended since I have been doing track (this is my 4th year). Worst track, no. The hill is actually sorta cool. Worst pits, no. LeRoy officially has the worst pits! Worst team, no definately plenty of teams in section 5 worse than OA. Worst D1 signee, you may be surprised what is out there bro. Im sure some D1 colleges have made some pretty stupid decisions in the past. Plus, like you said, maybe they think you are not be coached correctly and they believe they can improve you.

LeRoy officially has the worst pits! Worst team, no definately plenty of teams in section 5 worse than OA. Worst D1 signee, you may be surprised what is out there bro. Im sure some D1 colleges have made some pretty stupid decisions in the past. Plus, like you said, maybe they think you are not be coached correctly and they believe they can improve you.

i mean rules are rules but who the hell cares its not like its going to help you lean for the win at the finish line atleast not that i know of and escpecially for a tue meet most officials seem to be a little more laid back sometimes

it's a concrete runway haha

with roll out turf and for you, you'd probably get about 5 steps on the turf so you have to do part of your run though on concrete... it's pretty bad haha

yea its a roll out track surface material that is only like 50 feet long

Our run way is asphalt with a matt laid on top of it (which isn't long enough for triple really). And the dirt, yes dirt, not sand, is harder than rocks because even after it is rototilled it is only like 2 inches deep and there are rocks in our dirt lol. It is not pleasant landing in it.

Ha! Well....hopefully they will be fixing them in the near future like this summer. If not, I will never get to use good jumping facilities at LeRoy.

I heard they were pushing for the runways to be like the track... I hope that they also consider fixing the pit.... Personally, I think our second pit that we don't use is so much better.

Nice job to all of the competitors from Saturday's Royal Comet Invite. I believe at least eight meet records were broken. Conditions were not great but they could've been much worse. Thirty-three schools and the meet was over in six hours, unless you were in the pole vault, that lasted a bit longer. Nice collection of schools, big and small from Section V & VI.
