So who's going to win the overall Section V Class C title?
Bolivar-Richburg-Can they keep the streak going? And repeat?
Pembroke
Warsaw-Currently undefeated
Gananda
Bloomfield
Oakfield-Alabama
Honeoye-Will go as far as Lindsey Grace takes them
Cal-Mum -Claire Bennett and Co.
What other Section is as deep in Class C softball? I doubt you'll find one!

In my opinion Western New York has the best Class C schools in the state. The far west regional is always a great game and the sectionals (in 5) is always tough to pick. Based on last year, and the fact that BR had more of a challenge getting out of the section then they did at states, I would say that Sec. 5 has a few teams that could make a run at a state title.
Pembroke has the benefit of coming down a class and that should help them. Cal-mum will be motivated to avenge the close game they had with BR last season. It is Grace's last season at Honeoye and they look to be solid this season. Warsaw has yet to be beaten and is located in an area that has produced some good teams in the past. The favorite at this point has to be BR. I would love to hear the big wins of the other schools mentioned though. Have any of these teams played? Should be a great year for class C. I hope a lot of the games will be played at one location so the fans can catch as many games as possible.
The Class C State Champion will come out of Section V.

Bolivar takes on two of the best class AA teams in the state Saturday at 6:00 and 8:00 in Richburg... BR is now 20-0 on the season and 51-0 in the last two years. If BR is going to lose this year. It'll be in the final week of the season.

Don't get over confident. BR still has to take Warsaw and the team that I am most concerned with: Grace and Honeoye.

Saturday B-R will really challenge itself when they meet Class AA #1 Seed Greece-Arcadia and Class AA #2 Seed Webster-Thomas in a Double-Header. Arcadia is currently 12-3 and Thomas is 12-4. Has B-R bitten off more than it can chew? or can B-R sweep the top two teams in Double A?

Webster-Thomas wins 3-0 over BR. The WT pitcher kept the BR hitters off-balance with a good mix of pitches (was not a fast pitcher). All three runs were scored in one inning. Both sides suffered from errors but the closest BR could come to scoring was a (questionable) play at the plate.
Next for BR is Greece-Arcadia. Game is getting ready to start.

In the nightcap BR pounded the ball and went on to finish with a win over Greece-Arcadia 7-0. The team rebounded well from their first loss in two years--proving that they can play with the large schools.
On the day:
Webster-Thomas 2-0 (4-1 win over Hornell)
Bolivar-Richburg 1-1
Greece-Arcadia 1-1 (7-6 win over Hornell)
Hornell 0-2 (with a good showing)
