Avon wins Livonia Invite

The Avon Braves defeated Letchworth by 1 point tonight to win the Livonia Invitational. This is a big improvement for us considering we lost to them 122-19 in our first duel meet of the year. I guess this is kind of considered an "unofficial" win because we didn't get a trophy of anything, but they did give points for places in all the events and we scored it out to a 1 point win.

The teams that were there were (In alphabetical order)

Cal-Mum
Letchworth

Perry
Warsaw
York

And before anyone from Letchworth comes on to say "oh, we didn't stack the meet it doesn't matter" I just want to say that we didn't have all of our best people in their best events either due to some injuries. Sure most of them ran but some still didn't. I am deffinitely looking forward to another close battle in Sectionals.

Yeah they don't do steeple there. Johnson won the 1600 in 4:38 and 3200 in 10:11.

Letchworth might not have had some people especially owens who probably would have won the high jump and placed high in the shot and disc, not to mention that meyer false started in the 100.

I never said we would win sectionals so I dont know what u are talking about. I did say that I was looking forward to facing Letchworth again. All I was trying to point out is that we have improved a lot from the beginning of the year and are hoping to at least be a factor to teams in sectionals. I wouldn't be so cocky if I were you because as my post proved anything can happen in track on any day.

at RH the heat before mine in the 110's a kid false started then for my heat the gun failed to go off then the heat after me a kid false started haha it was an off day lol

If Kramell was truly unstoppable in the 400, maybe he would be fast enough to win at Sectionals. He has been yearning for some good competition. Remember, ALMOST-Only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades:)
