Am I correct?

Class AA finalist Greece-Arcadia was no-hit by:
Class C Champion Bolivar-Richburg and
Class DD Finalist Fillmore?

I know in some sports class gives a big advantage but does it matter as much, in softball, as people seem to claim? It is not like baseball where you need a pitching rotation.

What do you think?

Also, if it is true that BR is dropping to DD then I would think they should petition to remain in C. They have been a strong team in Section V Class C for 15 years(-ish.)

Not taking anything away from the D's (as said above,) I think that D and C's top teams are comparable most years but it is easier to get games with larger schools when your loss would give the larger school more points for sectionals.

The school district is in it's 13th year and has won softball sectional titles in 1998-2000 and 2004-2006 and 2008. I think they were in the finals in 2002.

There is no doubt that Class AA is down this year. There are a bunch of pretty good teams, which makes for good competition and good games, but no real serious state... or even Class playoff contenders. Your facts are correct about Arcadia. They are the perfect example... a few good wins, many puzzling losses and they are peaking at the right time.

However, BR is not your typical small school! They are a top 5 team in all of Section V and a first rate program.
