Section V class C is loaded with talent in all three C classes! But who's the best overall player in Class C?
Jordan Ingalls- from Bolivar-Richburg she just pitched a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts and went 3-for-3 at the plate including a home run in the teams opening round sectional win. She won the Birds Eye Player of the Week last week Ingalls, a junior pitcher and multi-winner of the award, won four more games last week. In the four games, she gave up only five hits and didn’t walk anyone. She struck out 46. She also had three hits including a grand slam home run. Has 1,200+ Strikeouts is a Section V Record
Amy Nowak-Warsaw, the Junior Shortstop is hitting .458, 27 runs scored, six triples, three home runs, and 27 hits she also has 19 RBI's
Kelly Spear-Warsaw a perfect 17-0 (49-10 Career) and has an earned run average of 0.80 In 106 Innings pitched she has allowed just 64 hits and 12 earned runs. She has struck out 154 batters and has walked just 19, Oh yeah she has also thrown a pair of no hitters, in a 6-0 win over Pavilion, Spear tossed a no-hitter with 16 Strikeouts and one walk. Two games later she threw another nono, this time in a 9-0 against York Spear struck out 13 and walked three.
Lindsey Grace-Honeoye-Sr. Pitcher: Grace, a senior pitcher and a 2006 Player of the Year, threw three shutouts last week including a no-hitter, a one-hitter and a three-hitter. She struck out 35 batters in 10 innings. She was also five-for-10 at the plate with two triples and a double.
Claire Bennett -Caledonia-Mumford-Bennett recently hurled a shutout on four straight days highlighted by a no-hitter on the fourth day against LeRoy. Her wins were 3-0 over Avon, 10-0 over Letchworth, 10-0 over Pavilion and 18-0 over LeRoy. Pitched a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts in their 2nd round victory over Campbell-Savona
Chelsea Cary-Pembroke-She pitched a one-hitter, striking out 15 and finished with a home run and two singles in a first round victory over Letchworth.
Mary Bostwick-Oakfield-Alabama-Pitched a three hitter with nine strikeouts in their win Wednesday night.
