I doubt they were on cloud 9 from beating a school 1/5 their size. It was more likely a lack of focus. They just thought they were going to play for the title without working to get there.

I don't care what size school you are, if you end a teams 51 game winning streak your going to be happy about that! You just ended an amazing streak, how are you not giddy about that?
