According to the SectionV (http://www2.brcs.wnyric.org/sectionvbaseball/Class%20NYS%20Brackets/Class%20NYS%20Brackets.html) site, Keshequa plays the winner of the Addison/Pavilion game.

Addision and Pavilion play Friday at McDonogh Park in Geneva at 6pm

The winner plays Keshequa at Way-Co on Saturday.

That sure seems awefully unfair. How many C schools have 3 starters capable of winning big games? How many AAA schools have that? geesh. Seems like Section V would be better off following basketball's move to only have 2 C sectional titles.

Another good idea would to have the C schools play 3 games the 1st week of sectionals and then they are not all piled up at the end when the games are bigger. Sorta like what softball does.

I wonder why Geneva is the location for this game. Why not Way-Co? Or Hornell? Dansville?

This past season in Basketball C's had 3 classifications, not two.

There are already games set for Hornell and Way-Coh, while other fields are not available as they still have modified games being played. Teams that played last night have to know right away where they are going to play today. Geneva has lights, so they can start that game later to allow fans to get there.

A pitcher can only pitch 18 innings in any 6 consec day period. Playing 3 games early in the Sectionals won't benefit teams that don't have pitching.
Good reason to develop pitchers.

Another reason for 3 classifications. The C's schools requested it. Gives another school a Sectional Championship.

I know Basketball had 3 this year. I meant Baseball should follow the direction basketball is taking for 07-08.

Basketball has two C classes next year because you only have 32 teams. In order to have 3 classes, you have to have 33 teams.

Bishop Kearney chooses to move up to Class B in basketball, leaving the C's with 32 teams. In baseball BK chooses to stay down in C, giving the C's 33 teams, which means they can go to 3 classes, which the C schools request.

That is also what I heard. That it was voted on by Class C to do so. They know they will have to have pitching if they want to win a state title.
