SO I am going through the transition of no more sports and suffering majorly. It is absolutely killing me to not be playing anything while my younger brother is still going about business as usual. Is anyone else realizing that this is much harder to do than previously thought. Right now I am frantically trying to get things in order to have a soccer team to play for next fall.

are you in college? it's a tough thing. I did a ton of intramurals after I stopped doing college soccer.

It was hard at first transitioning but I did intermurals and now i play Rugby. Its competitive and something i've never done before. To scratch that itch you just need to find something that you can do to replace what you did in HS.

What's wrong with intramurals?

They're nowhere near the same amount of prep and playing time you get playing for a varsity squad. They're fun, but that's about all. If you've played 3 sports through high school or 1 or 2 sports very competitively it makes a big difference.

I played soccer hockey and baseball and am very competitive and just miss that team atmosphere and having a crowd and playin under the lights and the transition has been really hard.

That's understandable; but it seems a bit rash to transfer schools for the sake of athletics. You're going to have to say good bye to sports at some point.

That isn't the only reason there are other personal reasons. I can just delay that goodbye.

I watch and like to think I could play football or something crazy... then I remember I'm 5'9" and 160 pounds. Possible, not logical

Hey... hook up with a college that has sprint football. Mansfield, Pa. has a team. It is 175 lbs. or less. You could probably be an offensive lineman with that size !! ( haha ) They play Navy, Army, Cornell, can't remember the others.

Most Ivy and big time college football schools have it.
