Got to the game a bit late but saw the majority of the game. Bergen was very impressive and although they needed a late goal to win 3-2 they were the superior team skill wise. Kendall's first goal was scored on a well deserved direct kick and was struck well by #17 but Bergen's goalie would have gotten to it if she was a bit taller. Kendall's 2nd goal was scored by #15 as she was fed a ball inside the 18 settled and fired a shot inside the far post on a great play with 18 seconds left in the half. That tied the game at 2.
I missed Bergen's first goal, their 2nd was a 40 yard rocket by #12 that beat the Kendall keeper in the far corner. Their 3rd goal was scored inside the last 15 minutes I believe by #8 as she broke past the Kendall defense and beat the keeper and the sweeper as they all came to the ball at the same time with a little rolling shot at the far post that found its way into the net.
Bergen had some ver nice midfield paly from 7 and 12 in the middle and from 4 on the outside. They won a lot of first balls and nearly any 2nd ball they were around and moved the ball really well on the ground around the field. Their defense looked a bit shaky and their goalies only weakness is her lack of height in my opinion.
Kendall was without their best player who must be out with an injury. They had some nice players who did some good things (7, 15, 17) but they were struggling to link any passes together. Their keeper was very suspect as well.
It was a good battle, great atmosphere (as there always is in Kendall) and the food was top of the line as well. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.
