I attended my 1st Volleyball game last night, Prattsburgh @ Avoca. Let me 1st say it was much better than my 1st Tennis match earlier this month. With Prattsburgh being one of the top teams in the league and the fact that their star player Andrea Presher is like Family to me I thought it was appropriate that I attend at least one of her games before she graduates and see what all the "Fuss" is about. Boy I wasn't dissapointed, Prattsburgh is very, very good. I could tell in warm ups that these girls have been playing together for awhile and were going to be tough, Jordanna Schoolcraft is Prattsburgh's version of Kerri Walsh dominating play near the net. Andrea Didn't dissapoint either with 23 points, 12 aces and 8 assists, Avoca had a hard time returning her serves at one point I thought she was going to serve the entire set. Jordanna also had a good game with 8 points, 3 aces and 6 kills. Teammate Katie Smith tallied 13 points including 6 aces. Prattsburgh Dominated play winning in Straight sets 25-5, 25-9 & 25-7. I hear that re-match with Hammondsport is looming next week and I'm going to try and make it to that one to see Prattsburgh play a little tougher competition as Avoca is young and several players are still learning the game so they weren't quite ready for a team of Prattsburgh's caliber. I'm not sure how Prattsburgh will do in Sectionals but they were solid and it wasn't just the three girls I mentioned the team as a whole was solid, the girls know where each other are and all of them are ready to do their "job" I left very impressed with the Prattsburgh Viking Volleyball team and wish them the best.

Is it a game? or a match?

In my opinion, sectionals goes through Fillmore. They are very talented. Hammondsport and Prattsburgh should both have a good shot though.

You could not have seen Fillmore play they are a very weak team or the other teams you are comparing them to are weaker.

I saw them last year when they beat Hammondsport in sectionals and they had most of their team return including Tierza Rangel and the Sampson girl. I heard they have been fighting through injuries though. I see Hammondsport has killed them both times they have played. I will be interested in seeing if Prattsburgh has the same fortune against them.
On a side note, some of these teams with worst records like Romulus play tougher competition than Prattsburgh and Hammondsport.

Last year they were a much stronger team Warsaw just barely beat them. But this year Warsaw earned more points for Fillmore than Fillmore did. Fillmore's record is 5-9 which also says that no one is going through Fillmore unless they are driving through to get to another school. They do have one exceptional player but I can't remember what her number was. The rest of the team is sub par. Out of their 9 losses, 6 were in 3 games.

3 of Fillmore's starters missed much of the season to injury this year, and it hurt their performance on the court. Tierza Rangel can turn a game by herself, but Michelle Sampson is back in form too, so they could be dangerous.
