Haha, was that a recent article? I haven't followed his writing since he left SI.
I'm still in the habit of immediately flipping to the back page of SI as soon as I get it to find his article... man, I miss him, haha.

It wasnt within the last year. Reilly was my favorite part of SI. My personal favorites were the one about the Ryder Cup and the one where he brought the "Beer Belly" into the Dodgers game.

What happened to Ray Lewis...
I figured that he was on his slow decline into the abyss, then all of a sudden, he's the defensive player of the first quarter of the season.
Ray Lewis has been the unmovable object this year and is playing almost better than the Super Bowl years. It's nuts!
Must be because he's on the Sunday Night Football intro video.

True, we missed Brad Butler today. We also didn't get a lot of pressure of Chad because we missed Aaron Schobel today. McGee played but I'm not sure he should have. Ginn made him look pretty sad. Porter had a good game too.

They could be the worst team in the division and still be one of the best in the NFL. That division is by far the toughest. The reason they've dropped so far is injuries. There are key players missing. No pass rush with Schoebel out. Less time for Edwards with Butler out. Secondary is hurting with Whitner, Youbouti out and McGee not 100%. The main slot reciever Reed is also out. Those are key spots that are hard to overcome. They're still good but need those guys healthy to be great.

I should have been more clear. I meant by far the toughest in the AFC. The NFC East is a tough division as well. The records don't show it yet but I think the AFC East is just as good as the NFC East. Here are their records if you take out divisional games:
NFC East: 18-6
AFC East: 16-6
I think out of both divisions the Giants are the best team but the AFC East might have the better collection of teams. I'm not all that impressed with Philly, or even Washington for that matter.
boobiemiles
11-10-2008, 02:22 PM
NFC South is really good too.
I think that right now with the way that the Cowboys and Eagles are playing (crappy), the NFC South and AFC East are the two toughest teams in football. I think the Bills just had a tough stretch, but you have to win your divisional games. 1-4, I like the AFC East. But NFC South is very close, and NFC East has the best 2 teams in the NFC.

The '"tie" system in the NFL is idiotic. If they dont score in the first OT, let 'em play until someone does. God forbid athletes making millions every year have to do a little more than they would normally have to.
