Who do you guys think will make it all the way to the state qualifiers match? I think Red Creek for class C but i'm not so sure about who will make it from class CC

Byron Bergen has been playing well as of late. I don't know if they'll make it that far though because they don't have many seniors and lack the experience that other teams have.

alright leaton... im just gonna say that class CC is very weak and i dont think that Honeoye is as good as people think due to a weak schedule... ill say either BB or ER vs RC in state qualifier

im gonna guess BB, they have been playing solid (im biased being on the team) and with the team finally coming together, i think the only thing that will stop us this year is Red Creek or ourselves, ER could get in, but i beleive we will have to play a weak game for that to happen.

Red Creek has been a terror in class C for years, and they'll continue that tradition this year. As for class CC this year I have yet to see Honeoye, nor have I heard anyone talk about them on these boards, and as I look down at these posts people are mentioning BB and ER a lot, but for some reason everyone is overlooking the young upstarts out of Letchworth sitting in 2nd place right now in the Section V CC standing. Not many people may have seen them play but they're a streaky/scrappy team that hasn't lost a single game this season by more than 1 goal and is currently still undefeated in Division II of Livingston County. Letchworth has lost a couple of heart breakers in OT this season but this young team have been growing steadily as the season rolls on, they could very well be the dark horse in this CC sectional run.

I'm saying Letchworth is pure garbage... mediocre team + extremely weak schedule = 2nd seed in sectionals. Letchworth stands no chance.

Letchworth is a decent team (I have played against them). However, you are right about the weak schedule. They played in Livingston 2 where only 2 teams had over a .500 overall record. Pretty weak if you ask me. They do have a decent goalie and a few kids in the field but I don't think they will go far in sectionals. My guess is that they will get knocked out in the 2nd round by Byron Bergen.

Well when it comes down to it, Letchworth needs to be prepared and ready to go. We had a few games this season that we werent mentally prepared but that has all changed. Now we do a good warm-up to get ready. One final game of the regular season for us and its against Leroy. Good match-up and its their senior night. I cant wait to see how mentally prepared we are going to be.

does letchworth have the same goalie as last year?, if so, did he improve any. Last year in the first round of sectionals our left back(colton gregg) hit a 40 yard ball that was cleared on the ground out of the 18 and he almost blew the net entirely off the goal frame. I've never seen a goalie freeze that bad in my life, don't believe me? check it out on www.youtube.com

Couldn't really see the goalie but I'll take your word for it. I also watched the other Red Creek stuff on there. They are simply amazing.

Yeah we do have the same one from last year. Lowden has definetely gotten better. Hes more confident and takes comand of his box. Hes not afraid to get knocked around anymore. Hes taken a few hits in the box but gets right back up and finishes the game.

I know Letchworth won't go far but I don't think they are going to go out so early. They should beat Marion 2-0 or so and will probably lose the next game.

i really want to know where you guys get these ideas? do you come out to wayne county and scout our teams... or are you looking at polls and seeding points? cause if its the second of the two... then you're just off touch with how soccer works.

I don't go to Wayne county to scout. However, I have seen a lot of the B, CC, and C schools play at some point this year. I played against Letchworth twice this year and saw Marion play Sodus (Sodus is class B, just like my school). I think Letchworth has the obvious advantage in this one, but like I said, Letchworth will probably get knocked out in the next round anyways.
Now what are you basing your decision on? Have you seen Letchworth play this year?

Honeoye is on a different level than Canisteo; they will beat them with ease.

I said this before and now i can kindly give myself a little pat on the back... Never saw them play but knew Letchworth would be GARBAGE, as well as i believe Honeoye is... they might squeak by some close games... but they suck.

I think that a team from RC could go and play with some of those bigs schools (thomas and Mqd)...they would be good games too..no blow outs..
but yea RC won tonight 6-1..
yea RC should have one like 20-1, they had a lot of missed shots..plus they completely dominated the field...

i was thinking the same earlier... if it were against thomas... i would guess no more than a 3 goal differential (probably 2-0). you guys played baldwinsivlle and lost only by one or something?

I just wanted to make one more post this season. As a Letchworth alumni I was proud of how our team played during the regular season. However we were flat tonight against Marion, and Marion SHOWED UP. They weren't the same team that I watched play Williamson (yes I did go to Wayne County and scout). The Marion team tonight won the majority of 50/50's much more than they did in their first round game and finished much better than the first game also. Marion you earned it and good luck against Bergen.
Now that being said I would like to take a moment to say Letchworth was anything but garbage this season. You can claim a weak schedule, you can say that they lucked out on some games. However to deny a team, in a Division whom most people didn't know who was going to win, the credit they deserve for going 9-0-1 and 13-5-1 overall (with 11 shut outs) is small minded. And to call any team, winning record or losing, pure garbage, without having seen them play is pretentious.
My thanks to all the players and coaches who do put their blood and sweat into this season. Those teams moving on, good luck to you all. Those who didn't make the cut or have been knocked out Good Luck next season. To all those Seniors who's seasons are done, look back and enjoy the times you've spent on the pitch and share your love for the game with the next generation of little players, it's what keeps Section V soccer strong. Thanks for a great ride Section V, see ya next fall.

we scored about like 6 minutes in and everyone on our team began to slack thinkin it was gonna be a blowout. Then letchworth scored and they dominated the rest of the half. Then we came out scored and took control of the game and letchworth was done when we scored the 3rd goal

Brelon May scored the first and third goals for Marion, sandwiched around Travis DeLyser's goal in the 2nd half. Nate Linderman was the loan goal scorer for Letchworth
