As for Genesee Valley they have a ligit shot they are a great defensive team with a good midfield and have won many close games all season so they could have a good shot but I would have to take AA

Agree, that was a tough loss for them, I believe they will go all the way. These are all teams wheatland-chili has never played either. (Besides defeating keshequa last game of the season) But yes, believe they have some resilency from last year to take this DD Title.

Actually GV has a very good chance. They've got a very strong midfield and tough D. Playing just D schools doesn't mean they don't have the skill to play any other teams. Besides. A strong team comes with a strong interconnection and these boys treat each other like family. They are a real "Team".:)

He isn't the team. Aaron orchestrates the offense and the defense and since that team plays together throughout the year in travel leagues, they have great team chemistry and they know what eachother is going to do before they do it. Call him a field general. I'm sure W-C is a solid team but don't provoke what you don't know about. An Alleghany or Steuben team has won this class for 13 straight years, a lot of them going to the state final 4. Until W-C proves themselves in their own class instead of doing it in the league full of big schools, then they call themselves the team to beat

Any team can win if they play solid through the midfield and don't make mistakes on the back end. Fillmore and GV both play very solid defense, and that makes them dangerous.

As for the shot stats listed in an earlier post, I wonder who is counting up those shots...I watched GV vs. Fillmore, and I did not see nearly that many shots on goal. Those two teams were very well matched, and the last game ended up a 0-0 tie with most of the pay being between the 18's.

Thats why I am going with Fillmore. AA has one scorer and if you mark him, he gets frustrated easily. They will also play on a bigger field, so I would like to see them run and have to work a little. I've only seen them at home. They also "fall" a lot so be careful Fillmore but I think the refs are on to them.

Yeah, I think you are right, but it is pretty obvious that they have one real dangerous player, and he is the guy you have to lock down. The question for a team with a star player is whether someone else steps up when the star is shut down.

Agree, please state your case... And that being said... yes THEY blew 2 PK's... Shows you atleast something about our goalie... He's pretty good.

And I seem to realize the only reason or chances they had was when they switched there formation.. First half they only had 2 people on forward.. Second half I noticed atleast 5 all together on the attack. We were used to the first half 2 people.. And will admit we didn't comprehend the fact they had more up there.

Think they played from there hearts just didn't have the talent..

There team was really nice to, number four was talking to me the entire game, he was only sad it was his last high school game ever. I don't think any way we are arrogant, the ref's decision on the second pk was one of the only calls I can think of that were so, so to call.

Our second half was ugly, but even there coach agree'd we played very good first half and quote " Wheat-land they pass like ninjas..." Gave me a chuckle when I was told so.

JT vs. Fillmore
Both teams were evenly matched. I dont believe either team was off their game. JT played some good ball. Branden Cornish and Dustin (not Justin) Updyke had one very good opportunity to score, both ended up missing by inches. Fillmore's #1 scored with around 2:10 left to go in the second half.

JT came a long way this season, losing 11 seniors, they regained strength enough to make it through. Good Season JT and good luck next year with, hopefully, you guys coming out on top!

As for Fillmore, I know that team, not very well but none the less. I dont think they will advance very far in sectionals. Coach Mullen is a good coach but I just dont think the team has the strength to pull it past Alfred-Almond. If JT almost beat them, then they have nothing for A-A that team is on fire this year.

Back to the WC-Mt morris game: WC outshot 28-8, and had 13 corners. Only our finishing was off, and again the refs were subpar. Our goalie made 2 great saves on PKs.

The G-V goalie made some amazing saves throughout the G-V, Arkport game. I think if G-V shuts down Varin they have a good shot at beating WC, I think that G-V can shut him down with the tough midfield and great D. Hopefully the G-V keep has another amazing game because he won that Arkport game for them.

Ok. And WC has played indoor last winter and travel league together and from playing together throughout the year the team already knows what everyone is capable of and they know if someone makes a mistake that someone else will step up and cover for them. Im not saying winning sectionals this year is going to be easy, its gonna take hard work. And if we play like we played against Mt Morris then we prolly wont win, But that was our first and last bad game like that.

I love the unbiased analysis of JT Wildcats 11. Why don't you admit that you are bitter as can be and you hope that Fillmore gets killed by A-A? I have no idea who is going to win this class, but I do know now that J-T surely isn't. Does that make four major sports in a row that Fillmore has knocked J-t out? Soccer,basketball,baseball, and soccer again. Wow. I would also recommend that W-C just keep quiet for now. The great thing about sectionals is that teams will play and it will be decided on the field. I, like many that predict have not seen all of these teams play and have no idea how they match up. I have seen A-A play several times and think they are good, but who knows. As Chris Berman likes to say that is why they play the game.

Yeah I think your right, if your talking about AA. However if you read the paper today they beat Keshequa 4-0 and only mentioned the one player even though 4 goals were scored and he made the last shot not even the game winner.

For our fullbacks, and goalie to be "unsportsmanlike" It was you guys that started it all, number 14 and 8 would not shut there mouths so the fire was returned.. And as you just said " We did not play a good second half," then thats your fault, and why would you guys give up? I believe you guys were just so tired and outplayed that you could not keep up anymore... And to say our goals werent good? We still won with a 4-1 score and we didn't recieve any red cards.. So congratulations on giving up ( the entire team so you say) when it was only 2-1... Along w/ that I also was chatting with a few of their players (I don't recall their numbers) but most of them were good people. Its a shame to see the 3 or 4 classless players on their team bring it down. actually i was impressed by all of wheatlands goals that night. i must say that genesee valleys goal was nice, however it was only scored because the ref made a terribly incorrect call against wheatland, when wheatland should have had the call for them.

To shake hands at the end of a good game, and have one of your players say, "Good Game B!t&h," Do you expect GV not to have any reaction to that!? That shows no respect what-so-ever. #20 over heard what was said to #8. Did you not expect him not to relatiate in a way that anyone with some sort of respect for there own teamates would have done? WC is without a doubt the most overrated, tacky, disrespectful team that I have seen. They may have won the game, but GV game up.WC goals were for sure cheap, No doubt about it.We should have not done so. Overall, GV is the better team and im glad a fight didnt break out because if so, Wheatland Chili would have been demolished by GV.

i think wheatland is a fantastic team with alot of talent. but it does sound to me like theyre getting a little too cocky. i hope they dont go into their game with this much self-inflicted hype or else they might be in for a bit of an awakening.
but all and all i see them doing good things in these future games. sectionals and states.

Have not seen the WC goalie but I have watched Mr. Gibney play since he was very young. I think he has matured (mentally) to the point he can carry his team when needed. Fillmore doesn't have the explosive offense of the recent past but this is going to be a 1 goal game from the sounds of it.

It all starts at home. GV has the 'honor' of being home to some of the nastiest sleazy-mouthed fans in the county. First and only time I've seen a parent red-carded, and he refused to leave. Ref shoulda stopped the game and handed the opposing team the forfeit, but he kept his cool. Not a GV official in sight. The GV admin needs to have some security out there to keep it civil, as well as take the whole soccer program down a notch on the aggression. No problem with physical play or general trash talk, but if the kids can't judge between physicality and unbridled stupidity, someone needs to take things in hand. JMO

alright now, my feelings on the wc vs. gv game...well i beleive that gv came out with something to prove and did so for the first 40 mins. the second 40 yes looked a lil fatigued, but still wc never got any other goals til their were about 15 min left, as one of the gv starting defenders went down with an injury...hmmm is it possible that one player coulda made a difference. no one knows. but still all of the talk between both teams was very uncalled for, and for gv yeah fighting isnt the answer they should have shown it on the field with a few goals. enough said.

and for players to be on here talking up and down their own teams, and other teams is completely unacceptable. wc is full of themselves and will have a rude awakening weather it is vs. fillmore or anyone. yes confidence in your team is good, but overly cocky? no not so great it is good to be a little humble about a good victory, and thank the opposing team for a well played game.

Since we were first called cocky/arrogant, i have been asking for someone to state their case and all that i have heard is just people restating that we are cocky. In any event, think what you want, it is obvious that we are more classy than GV, and that GV should not be allowed to post on this forum because they are all generic tough guys that don't know when to shut their mouths.

Also, it was poked at that perhaps the GV defenders injury affected the outcome of the game...negative. I should know since I was the one to "injure" him. It was a high kick in which I never even winded up, I just reached my foot to settle the ball and he sold the injury, as anyone would. He stayed in the game and remained unaffected.

i think the people restating that w-c is "cocky" are mostly referring to the few players on the team that are on here touting their accomplishments and continuing to carry on a dialogue with a few bitter gv students/fans. i was actually surprised by how many posts in this forum were from w-c players. that game is over. you better move on to fillmore or you'll find yourself in a world of trouble. how many fillmore players do you see posting on here about how great they are?

i'm really looking forward to the championship game. wheatland has a stud scorer...and from what i read a solid keeper. fillmore has a stud defender...and a "college" goalie. it's been my opinion all year that fillmore is the best team from ac. yes they lost to gv 1-0 and then tied them 0-0 but having watched them both play i felt that fillmore was the stronger team. you have to understand that with these two ac teams, much like andover/belfast in class D, the records don't matter. the rivalry is so intense that anything can happen.

on a side note...while gv can definitely be dirty and has a few "hotheads"...the dirtiest team that i've seen all year in ac is scio. its no coincidence that the gv/scio game was cut short. in the few games that i saw them this year, #14 for scio never even looked to play the ball. i bet he had 10 fouls called against him in one of the games that i watched. the other team had 2 penalty kicks and dominated them btw. and he wasnt the only one. these kids would be talking trash when they were down 5-0 and couldnt get the ball over half line. after one cheap foul against belfast, the belfast player got up laughing. the scio kid got right on his face and yelled "whats so funny?!" belfast player calmly answered with..."scio makes me laugh" and ran up field. classic line if you ask me. scio's coach lost control of them before the season even began. that team was an absolute mess. i guarantee you that if someone had access to all the cards given in ac this year, scio would lead and it wouldnt be close.

First of all GV is by far a better school, athletically, and even academicaly. Your soccer team is full of a buch of arrogant little immature kids, that have no clue what they are really getting themselves into. GV is a school that is full of pride, and can actually back up their talk. WC is only digging themselves a deeper hole, and i assure you.. they better hope they dont face GV in basketball, because if so.. they wont be running their mouths anymore. WC is just another perfect example of a bunch of preppy little city kids that think they're something special, when they are clearly not. If WC continues trying to run their mouths to GV and anyother REAL school they will be getting themselves into trouble. There is a difference between being cocky, or unsportsman like, and having pride, and dignity in your school and teammates. GV is classy, GV is a dynasty in the making. WC happened to have ALL lucky goals and stopped GV's triple crowned season. Winning is a mentality at GV, and WC will only get whats coming for them.

ok lets clear some things up. WC was on the line ready to shake hands when GV attacked us. AFTER this display of "tuffness" is when we decided they are not worth shaking hands with. also yes they played a good game. in the first half. but a goal is a goal and if a team can let four "cheep" ones in what does that say about their defense? not the same strong defense people are talking about if you ask me. any team who even claims to give up in a sectionals game isn't worthy of winning the title to begin with.
