1. The term dynasty is often used to refer to a team that dominates their sport for a period of time.
2. See: Byron Bergen Volleyball team.

Definitely Byron Bergen, they won states four consecutive years(?) and the former all-star D'Errico is playing on defending national champions Penn State.

I'll agree that Hammondsport may be considered a dynasty in the SCL but with no sectional titles since 1987-88 they are not a Section V dynasty. I hope they get that title this year though.

lyons has won over 75 straight non-league games and i believe 64 league games straight. thats unbelieveable

Byron Bergen has 4 straight state titles and went on like a 3 year undefeated streak

I only saw 3 banners this past weekend not 4 2005, 2006 & 2007. But Byron/Bergen was ther best while D'Errico was on the team and they are still very good now. So I would only consider them a Dynasty for Section V. Or a team would at least have to win many Section V titles close together. I feel that there isn't such a team as of yet.

Why only a Dynasty for section V?
They won 3 or 4 state titles in a row. That would have to be a dynasty for NY

I meant the only team in Section V that was a dynasty not just for Section V

They are in different classes. They won't meet in sectionals.

No Bergen is Class C and Lyons is Class DD. Since Lyons beat Gananda both times. the biggest threat should be Warsaw which was 17-1 with there only loss comming from AA Webster Schroeder 23-25, 18-25, 26-24, 14-25.

They are the kind of team that lets you make your own mistakes, they keep the ball in play. Romulus beat them in a non-league match this year by attacking and then dinking over the blocks.

They dont have D'Errico anymore so they have definetly gone down in competition, but they are still tough...
