We're starting the 10th, had a meeting for it last wednesday
XC is done for me so i'm lifting everyday after school this week and doing workouts on the track by myself probably (unless i drag some kids out there) just to keep in shape if the weathers not too bad

Whats Williamson look like this year? Obviously they have Robertson but I don't know much else about their indoor team because we never really saw them last year. How bout Marion? Won't they be decent?

I think C will just be dominated by Bath...
we outscored the batavia boys in all our meets haha
that was so hillarious when everyone was talking about the 4x2 last year and the batavia kids were like.. OA and Alexander have nothin! We're the best! And they never beat us...

I agree. Bath was pretty good last year (stuck right with us and Batavia at sectionals) and they really only lost the Snyders. Plus, if talk on here is correct, they are gaining a couple of valuable kids who didn't do indoor last year. Watch out for Bath!

Priceless moment from last year: Sectionals at U of R, Skidmore running his 300, he starts off a little behind a BK runner because of location at the line, the BK kid cuts him off twice, realizes he just got himself DQ'ed, and proceeds to yell obscenities at the top of his lungs. Me and the teammates around me almost fell over laughing hahaha

Haha, I know. When I first started coming on this site I would just read the track stuff and they started a thread called Class C or something and just talked about themselves. I hated them. Then the Clown Room came about and changed everything! haha Good times!

true.. that race was almost what happened at states to us in the 4x4.
i got the handoff and was immediately getting boxed in by 2 kids so i pushed the one into the infield and i gave the other one a stiff arm and pushed him out and then passed some people down the backstretch... man I miss track :(

My name's steve caufield. I didn't do much in high school lol. I actually gained a love for the sport my senior year, but it was just too late. I was more into soccer and basketball. One of those guys who did track to stay in shape. I just did LJ/HJ in high school. Since I graduated in '07 I've been working out often and been going to summer meets and hoping to walk-on in college (going to Brockport or UB after MCC).

I like outdoor because of the league meets and counties and stuff
but i like indoor beacuse you go against everyone from section v at the meets and the competition is on such a higher level and it's tougher to get to states and if you're able to earn your way to states you obviously establish yourself as one of the elite track athletes from section v

Had our banquet tonight actually.
Ended up 7-9 (best record in ten years) and got our first sectional berth since 96. Lost to Victor 5-2 in the first round.
Not a bad season, did better than expected but we gave a lot of close games away we shouldn't have.

We couldn't get all county selections because we're considered non league though

11-05-2008, 11:01 PM
HAHA, I have wondered that for a long time. To make it even more confusing, they are from section 6, they are near Medina and Albion, who have football teams in the N-O league, but they are in the GR and Section 5 for football.
And in basketball i am pretty sure that they play half of the section 5 teams but they compete against section 6 teams.
So weird. I asked the question a while ago but go no response lol.
