They called up the best one, but they can't kill the jayvee team. Pembroke will have to live with the 7 guys and hopefully slow down games and work the half-court offense.

I definitely think if theres somebody that could play varsity at pembroke, thats where he should be. It would be for the best of the program. First of all because its not like they are bringing up someone who would sit the bench. If they got somebody who could play they would play immediately and alot and that would only improve the program. Also, Pembroke's time is now. Its not like they can build for the future because babcock and wright give them their best chance at success for a long time.

As far as the half-court offense.. they better hope they have somebody to get the ball past half court. Thats going to be awfully hard against a press when one of their players fouls out and then no one can get a break by coming out of the game.

I think they must not have another player good enough to play varsity, or else they would be on this team.

I agree, less players on a team can at times be more fun at times, but if your looking to have a successful season and win a lot of games a lack of players can really hurt.

I saw Pembroke play tonight vs Williamson. I got to say if it was not for Gabbys 9 3's they lost that game. Williamson did a great job on Babcock. He looked frustrated that he could not get the ball. I think he might see a lot of that in the GR this year. Wright struggled also tonight. I think the 2 of them combined for 20 points. Pembroke will have to depend on the others if teams can shut down the 2 stars like they did tonight.

That is a fact. Also, The One& Only is from Elba, and although there are quite a few good guys there, he makes it very tough to resist the "Elba Bashing" that hilly scorned us about in football season.
