The kid named Brit has been a perfect fit (http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070724/SPORTS/707240338/1007)-D&C

Brit liked the challenge of playing at a higher level. Thanks to a weight-training and exercise routine — she can squat 225 pounds — she figured she could handle it, physically.

How tough is she? Brit recently took up boxing, a sport her brother, Bobby, does.

"And as far as the social aspect, she's pretty mature," her father says.

The biggest adjustment has been the faster play.

"I used to do all the moves. I don't dribble as much anymore, but my one-touch (passing) is a lot better. I never used to do that," she says.

Jeff Diveronica did a great article on Brittany Kinmond the 15yr old from Spencerport who plays for the Lady Rhinos and actually gets about 39minutes (out of 90) a game. That's pretty good PT and and at a level where most of her competition is D1 players.

Some people who are used to traditional team sports in the US dont think it's right, but the reality in soccer is, that is the age when players usually get their pro debuts. Pele started at 15, Freddy Adu at 14, Mia Hamm at 15, Ronaldo at 15. In the soccer world 15 to 17 is prime time to make a start on the pro level, because youthful energy can be as much of an advantage as experience and because physical maturity isn't as much of a part of the game as it is in American football and even in basketball.
