can anyone tell me why some teams only have 6 games but others have 7?the only thing i can think of is that is optional some teams are confident that theyre make sectionals and wont need the points and want another week of rest.i have looked at monroe league 3 division but i have not checked out any other leagues or divisions.does anyone know why?

If a team only plays six games that usually means that sectionals in their section start a week earlier then the other sections. They only play six regular season games because it is the most they can.

sorry for another dumb question but i meant to ask this after i read your answer.so if there were teams in the same division and some played 6 games and some played 7 games, and the division title was a close race wouldn't that complicate things?monroe 3 division has AA,A,and a B team in the same division which means A and B teams get 7 games and AA would get 6.Wouldnt that give an advantage to those teams that play 7 games regarding a possible division title?

Im not sure about the Monroe division but in the GR in which I play each team plays 6 conference games, thus exempting one game against a conference opponent since there is 8 teams. So it works out that each team plays 6 conference games, and the teams with a 7th regualr season game will most like pick a non conference opponent to fill that 7th game.
