Todays games weren't what i expected. I thought the NFC game would be boring and the AFC game would be entertaining. Quite the opposite. I learned alot about Arizona today and I'm going with the upset
Arizona 27

It will be a boring Super Bowl either way

How was the AFC game boring?? Must not be a fan of great defenses and hard hitting? Not used to seeing that up in Batavia huh? Lifelong Steelers fan, I don't think Warner will be on the field by the 3rd quarter.

What does living in Batavia have to do with anything??
Warner will slowly pick away that pitt secondary like he did the eagles today. Pitt and Philly play the same style of blitzing and Warner exposed Philly today

The Batavia reference was saying that from the scores I see in your high schools games, you're not used to seeing great defense....was just kiddin, relax.
Ask UNC about my Steelers fanhood, My HOUSE is even Yellow and Black! I lived thru the 80's and the BAD years. I have a Steelers lamp sitting here on my desk that was made for me when I was 10 years old, 28 years ago! oh yeah and does the $300 NFL Authentic personailized home Jersey count? lol I have lived and died with this team my whole life.

I hate to say this because they knocked out my team, but I think Arizona will win. Throughout the playoffs they've finally proved to people that they can run the ball and a aren't 1 dimensional team. Either way it should be a good game with a very good Steelers defense vs. a very good Arizona offense.

I always liked Willis. He was an idiot for the things he said at the end. But when he was in Buffalo - and doing one-on-one interviews rather than pressers - was always good to talk to. Even after a tough loss when other players cleared out of the locker room, Willis would hang out and if somebody wanted to talk to him he would.
I personally enjoyed working with him, but you can't say the things he said.
I'll give him some credit .. he never ran anybody over in his car while in Bufalo.

I think he progressively got cockier and felt he was better than everyone towards the end even though his stats were never amazing.
He was probably thankful at first since buffalo took him in after that awful injury in the BCS game, but he eventually forgot about the risks they took to get him

Glad he is alright, but anytime somebody in a Baltimore Jersey gets the crap knocked out of him I enjoy it! HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO!!! If Pittsburgh doesn't have to sommit anyone extra to stopping the run, they win. Cards offensive line has done a great job in playoffs at protecting Warner. We wll see if they can do it against the best pass rush in football. And oh yeah, Pittsburgh has a pretty good pass defense..#1 ranked I believe?

That is correct. It was Addai's rookie year and Dominic was a big part of the running game.
But I'm still pulling for Edge. I was so mad when we let him go because I love his running style. He has really stepped it up lately and I think if the Cards win, he will probably be the MVP because you know Pittsburgh is going to stop Fitz.

well they are a good team in some aspects (Quarterback and receivers) but i dont know if they will be able to hold there own against the steelers. In next weeks game Arizona is going to only have one option to make plays with and that is throwing the ball. I already have ruled out the run attack. Plus the black and gold have the best pass defense in the NFL

and like I said before..If the Steelers D can stop the Cardinals run without having to devote any "extra" help to do so (by that I mean with 4 or 5 guys up front), they should win. They have the number one rated pass defense in football for a reason and have faced some of the "best" QBs (both Mannings, Riversx2, Romo,McNabb, Cassell, Flacco) in the league this year and not one of them had a huge game vs them. Fitzgerald and company will make some plays, they are great players, can't shut them down completely. If they are able to drop 6 or 7 back into coverage I think they will get the job done. DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!

In the NFL playoffs these days, there is so much parody in the league that it's not about who has the best team or whose team is the best during the regular season. It's all about which team is the hottest at the right time. We see it in Baseball and now it happens in the NFL. Notice how only 1 team won that had home field in the divisional rounds. It's all about who's hot, and nobody's hotter than the Cardinals. It all depends on if they can keep it up one more game.

Big difference between Jake Delhomme and Ben. How many sacks has the Line given up in the Playoffs? not many. And everyone knows that a lot of the sacks aren't on the offensive line, some of them are on Ben because he will hold onto the ball trying to extend plays. We'll see... I think it should be a great game.

That's one of the better games I've seen period, much less in a super bowl. I'd put that one in the top two or three I've seen. When Harrison returned that pick, I would have bet the second half would have been a blowout. That's about as harsh a turn around as I've witnessed in a game ever. Give the Cards credit they played a great fourth quarter to get the lead. Rothlisberger doesn't look pretty back there, but man is he effective.

Tyree's catch was 3rd down. But without it, it would have been like 4th and 18
Holmes catch should have never happened. He dropped the pass before it. And it was more about ben making that pass than it being caught.

It was a heck of a catch by holmes. Not sure if tyree would have been able to catch that ball given the situation.
it was a good catch but not as impressive.
And what situation are you refering to? A crucial drive downfield in the superbowl?

If tyree had to make the catch that holmes had to make. I dont know if he would have made it.

Did anyone see the Top 10 plays today? They were the Top 10 super bowl plays of all time.
There were 3 from last nights game: 10) Larry Fitz's catch I think 4) Harrison's play and 3)Holmes' catch
I think they're definitely blowing last nights game out of proportion, but it did not have 3 of the top 10 superbowl plays of all time. Holmes' catch at like number 7 and thats about it

That always happens.
Every year immediatly after the Super Bowl they blow it all out of proportion.

I think there is a better chance of tyree being able to make holmes catch than homes being able to make tyrees helmet catch.

Pretty sure it was tyree's catch or Montana's td throw to win the game over the bengals

That was during an nfc championship game.
Also, did anyone bring up how Arizona got royally screwed by the refs on the last drive?
They didn't call holmes on a penalty after doing his lebron imitation celebration which would have been a huge 15 yards.
Also, they did not review that last fumble by warner, but they reviewed every other damn play that night. You'd think they'd review the play that ends a dramatic super bowl like that

excessive celebration, using the ball as a prop

excessive celebration, using the ball as a propi thought that you only get in trouble if you get on your knees or use an actual prop?

No, there are a lot of penalties regularly thrown out there for dances, etc.

Holmes should have been penalized 15 yards for excessive celebration.
And the last play should have been a forward pass. Add on the 15 yards for Harrison taking off his helmet and the Cardinals have the ball with 6 seconds left at the 15 yard line. Oh yeah, and they have larry fitzgerald.

There is no way that last play was a forward pass.

That is the perfect definition of a tuck rule.
The ball is moving forward and he is starting the throwing motion when it is knocked out.
Tuck rule. Cardinals ball.

The ball clearly comes out before his arm starts to move forward.

I don't need to. You can clearly see that he pulls his arm back to throw it and just before he is about to motion forward with his arm the ball comes out. It does not matter that the ball stuck in his hand as his arm was going forward because he did not have clear possession of it. If he had held onto it (rather than it moving around in his hand) as his arm was going forward then it would have been incomplete.

I have seen it 100 times in the last 2 days and to me, even trying to be impartial, it was a fumble, his arm goes back and he loses the ball just before his arm came forward. good call on the field

Arizona would have had the ball with ~7 seconds left at the Pittsburgh 29 yard line. (Pittsburgh had an unsportsmanlike penalty on the play).

We will never know what would have happened.
The Colts weren't in the Super Bowl, and neither were the Bills.. So I don't care. I just wanted Arizona to win cos they have never won before.
