Week 1
Finger Lakes: Sarah Andres of Honeoye. Andres controlled the midfield in the Honeoye Kick-Off Tournament and scored three goals against Penn Yan.
Finger Lakes II: Shannon Spusta of Palmyra-Macedon. The forward had two goals and two assists against Bloomfield and two goals against Newark.
Genesee Region: Brittany Clark of Attica. Clark scored four goals and had one assist as she helped Attica win its tournament.
Monroe I: Brittany Kinmond of Spencerport. Kinmond scored three goals against Hilton in the Hilton Tournament.
Monroe II: Meghan Frate of Webster Schroeder. The defender had a strong game vs. Greece Arcadia.
Private-parochial: Sarah Henderson of Aquinas. The defender/midielder helped to key Aquinas' win over CBA and also scored.
Steuben County: Hailey Post of Jasper-Troupsburg. The midfielder/forward was named MVP of the Keuka Classic Tournament.
Wayne County: Nichole Clark of Marion. The senior defender scored four goals and had three assists in wins over Waterloo, Alleghany-Limestone and Elmira Notre Dame.
Note: Several leagues did not submit candidates.

Allegany: Makenzie Finnemore of Genesee Valley The senior forward had four goals and four assists against Cuba-Rushford and Arkport.
Finger Lakes I: Brooke Hessney of Victor. The junior midfielder/forward scored the only goal vs. Pittsford Mendon scored against Canandaigua.
Finger Lakes II: Kariann Breed of Red Jacket The senior forward had seven goals last week.
Genesee Region: Lindsay Wellspeak of Alexander. The senior forward had a goal and an assist in wins over Holley and Wheatland-Chili.
Livingston I: Sierra Marchese of Honeoye Falls-Lima. The junior forward scored three second-half goals against Pittsford Sutherland.
Livingston II: Anna Mucha of Keshequa. The senior defender led the defense in a shutout win over Dansville and a 1-0 penalty-kick loss to Fillmore.
Monroe I: Winsom Hudson of Greece Odyssey. The freshman forward scored two goals and had two assists in three games.
Monroe II: Mary DeWitte of Penfield. The senior defender led Penfield to wins over Webster Schroeder and Mercy.
Rochester League: No candidate submitted.
Private-Parochial: Meghan Smith of Mercy. The senior forward scored four goals in two games last week including three against Nazareth.
Steuben County: Katie Wyant of Jasper-Troupsburg. The junior defender/midfielder scored three goals last week.
Wayne County: Katie DeMay of North Rose-Wolcott. The junior midfielder scored two goals and had an assist last week.

Congratulations to Hailey Post, Katie Wyant and Jimmy Willis....3 excellent Jasper-Troupsburg soccer players - all recognized as Birdseye Players of the Week. J-T may be a small school , but they can play some good soccer.

Girls soccer
Allegany: Stephany Ellison of Whitesville. The freshman forward had eight goals and two assists over three games last week.
Finger Lakes I: Christine Hryzak of Mynderse. The senior defender/midfielder had a hat trick against Penn Yan..
Finger Lakes II: Alyson Case of Naples The senior defender has anchored a defense that has only allowed one goal against three of the top teams in the Finger Lakes West.
Genesee: Emily Heale of Alexander. The senior defender and team captain Heale, has marked the opposition's top scorer in every game this season and has yet to give up a goal.
Livingston I: Melissa Plain of Honeoye Falls-Lima. The junior defender/midfielder is in her first year as sweeper and has controlled the defense which has earned four shut outs so far this season.
Livingston II: Sarah Merritt of LeRoy. The junior defender/midfielder had two goals last week.
Monroe I: Alyse Dicenzo of Pittsford Mendon. The senior midfielder/forward had two goals and an assist as Mendon beat Eastridge 5-1 and Greece Arcadia 3-0 last week.
Monroe II: Danielle D'Ottavio of Pittsford Mendon. The senior midfield/forward, D'Ottavio scored three goals and tallied three assists in Mendon's two wins.
Private-Parochial: Olivia Guy of Aquinas. The junior midfielder/forward scored three goals in leading the Irish to wins over Nazareth and Victor.
Steuben County: Kristen Guenther of Arkport. The senior defender/goalkeeper, is, according to Arkport coach Melody Harwood, "a team leader and captain and regardless of what position she plays is willing to do whatever it takes to make the team better. "
Wayne County: Beth Markowski of Sodus. The junior defender/forward Markowski scored four goals and had one assist last week as Sodus defeated Gananda and Hannibal.

ALLEGANY: Jordan Ingalls of Bolivar-Richburg. Ingalls, a senior forward, had a goal against Cuba-Rushford and two goals in a 2-1 victory over Olean in helping her team remain undefeated.
FINGER LAKES I: Gabriela Palacio of Harley-Allendale Columbia. Palacio a senior midfielder, has two goals and two assists in helping H-AC remain undefeated in Finger Lakes West League play.
FINGER LAKES II: Maren Serafine of Canandaigua. Serafine, a senior midfielder, has scored in Canandaigua's last four games.
GENESEE: Stacey Flint of Alexander. Senior midfielder Flint, had a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over Elba and assisted on the only goal in a 1-0 win over Kendall.
LIVINGSTON I: Ashley Valenti of Honeoye Falls-Lima. Valenti, a senior goalkeeper, recorded three shutouts last week including 13 saves in a 1-0 overtime win over Brighton. She has recorded seven shutouts so far this season.
LIVINGSTON II: Kate Brooks of Pavilion. Senior midfielder/forward Brooks scored a goal in each of Pavilion's two wins last week including the winning goal against Avon with 30 seconds remaining.
MONROE I: Alyssa Barrett of Penfield. A senior midfielder/forward, Barrett led Penfield to a win over Spencerport and an overtime loss to Aquinas.
MONROE II: Leah Cronister of Brighton.A junior defender, Cronister scored on a penalty kick against Eastridge.
PRIVATE-PAROCHIAL: Jillian Kazley of Mercy. A senior forward Kazley scored three goals including the game winner in overtime against Livonia. She has five goals and an assist for the season.
STEUBEN COUNTY: Susan St. James of Arkport. St. James, a senior midfielder/forward, has, according to Arkport coach Melody Harwood, "help control the attacking midfield and forward line. She is constantly moving in order to create opportunities and passing lanes. She had a great week and has really been stepping up."
WAYNE COUNTY: Brianne Raes of Marion.A senior defender, Raes played outstanding defense last week in wins over Sodus, Hannibal and North Rose-Wolcott.

ALLEGANY: Junior forward Allison Richter of Fillmore scored eight goals and had one assist as the Fillmore Lady Eagles went 3-0 last week. She has 23 goals and 5 assists on the season that put her second in career goals at Fillmore with 98.
FINGER LAKES I: Senior midfielder Deanna Gentner of Naples recorded a goal in an important victory over Honeoye. She also had a goal and three assists in a win over Red Jacket.
FINGER LAKES II: Senior midfielder/forward Lindsay Tegas of Wayne had two goals and an assist in a win against Penn Yan and a hat trick in a win against division rival Palmyra-Macedon. She has 13 goals and four assists this season.
GENESEE: Freshman midfielder/forward Chrissy Rennard of Attica played a key role in her team's 1-0 win over Wheatland. "She is only a freshman but understands the game at a level beyond her years," said coach Sue Allen.
LIVINGSTON I: Junior midfielder Mandy Mignano of Le Roy has, according to coach Beth Luckey, "great knowledge of the game, motivates through action, and is a great practice and team player."
LIVINGSTON II: Sophomore forward Catherine Mucha of Keshequa scored four goals last week including two-of-three goals in a win over Perry and the only two goals in a win against Avon. She now has 12 goals and four assists on the year.
MONROE I: Sophomore forward Natalie Rogers of Webster Thomas had three goals and two assists in a 4-3 win over Irondequoit and a 4-3 loss to Greece Arcadia last week.
MONROE II: Sophomore midfielder/forward Harley Marks of Penfield scored two goals in a win against Rush-Henrietta, three goals in a win against Webster Schroeder and a goal in a tie with Pittsford Sutherland.
PRIVATE-PAROCHIAL: Junior forward Laura Lanzafame of Bishop Kearney scored six goals and added an assist in leading her team to victories over School of the Arts and Honeoye Falls-Lima. She has 15 goals and four assists so far this season.
STEUBEN COUNTY: Senior midfielder/forward Breanne Smith of Arkport scored the winning goal over Addison.
WAYNE COUNTY: Junior forward Kylie Prestidge of Gananda scored two goals and had three assists in wins over Lyons and Hannibal last week.
