Can't say that it makes much sense having Oakfield-Alabama & Pembroke ranked ahead of Bath, Can't argue ER/Gananda or LeRoy but even Cal-Mum is questionable being smaller.

I dont know what other people think but no way would I have Leroy and Geneva ranked 1-2 after the first week. Both had very lackluster games and looked weak.Last year was last year and their is no way that those teams should be that high based on last weeks game.

I agree but on the other hand, it's only the first week and most teams haven't faced very good competition thus far. Give the poll another week or two before you take it too seriously

Just an observation, schools on the Westside of Rochester, Churchville-Chili, Gates-Chili and Leroy lead the polls. Things didn't used to be this way in years past. For the longest time, Eastside teams like Fairport and the Webster were the top rated programs and for good reason. They were committed to the weight room and had talent. The past few years, the Westside schools have been flexing their muscles as a result of the same formula, committment to the weight room and available talent. A strong youth football program is also the key. The Chili Lions feed players to both Churchville-Chili and Gates-Chili and a good many of the starters for both schools learned how to play football with the Lions. Does Leroy have a youth football program?
