Wow. That's pretty cool. Maine plays in a pretty good I-AA football conference with New Hampshire and UMass, etc. They were pretty competitive last season, too.

I've seen buttles play, and I really dont think he was anything special. Dont get me wrong he was good. But I honestly dont see him being a D1 athlete. Good luck to him tho.

I know there are probably plenty more signings out there for football, but I just saw that Albany released their 2007 class.

Chaz Mitchell from East High is part of that class.

Joe Sayre (6'4" 240) and Pete Soehner(6'4" 280) both of Honeoye Falls- Lima High School have committed to play at D3 Schools in Upstate New York. With Pete Soehner going to play at St. John Fisher as OT and Joe Sayre going to play at SUNY Cortland also as OT.

Churchville Chili's Justin Hasselkus (http://www.ccsaintsfootball.com/justin_hasselkus_2006.html), a First Team All-Monroe County cornerback will be playing for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy NY. RPI is a D-III college and part of the Liberty League, along with UR, Hobart, Union and St. Lawrence among others.
