HF-L had a nice run last year give them credit, BUT.... Trinidad is gone, Johnny Day is gone, as well as Burgasser. 2/3 of their goals came from those guys, so who will replace them? I dont see their JV doing it. Credit to their coach he tries to teach them to play football, but I believe they are going to have to play direct & hope for the best. They should win most if not all their league games but Bath will beat them. The top teams in A will probably be Aquinas, & Wayne. Now having said that, I hope the REd Creek fans dont trounce me. Wayne is in A but its relative as I see Red Creek as an A school having to play in a sub-par league. Will anybody ever from A-AAA play these guys? At least in a tournament?

Red Creek played Dr. Freddie Thomas and Baldwinsville last year to open the season. I don't know about this year though, when do schedules come out?

HFL changed leagues this year. They no longer play Bath, Hornell, Dansville ect.. They joined the Monroe county league with Mendon, Sutherland, Victor, Brighton, EastRidge. Will be a tough schedule for them.

HF-L will be playing in the Mendon Tournament the 28th& 29th. The teams will be AQ, Mendon, HF-L & Rush-Henrietta. AQ will be out for revenge, & bet they win. AQ Got David Wright RegionI ODP player along w/ a sweet Brazillian kid, Not to mention Jordan Allen who will be inItaly Aug14-21 with the Region team. AQ are loaded!

oh nice... You seem to know alot of info about some teams just curious to know where you were from. How do you think Fairport will fair this year?

I think Fairport will be a solid team. They are a fit organized side with heart & athletes who give 100% every game. They are a tough team to play against even if the opposition has technically superior players. They may not win points for style but they get results. They have a keeper who is solid as well. Whoever has to play them beeter lace up their boots tight & be ready to fight.

Are you just an all around H.S. soccer fan or is there a team that you are pulling for this year?

Allround fan but I pull for AQ as I have coached some of their players individually. Fairport will probably win thier class & whovever wins A will have to probably go through them to go to states.

Still have plenty of returning players and our schedule is not that different. We play all the same teams as last year except twice. We were underestimated last year and we are this year too. So
dont speak too quickly

Due to their success last year, they will now become the team to beat.
They have 9 starters returning and will be a strong team again this year. I think many teams will attempt to neutralize their strong points...which are marking players, packing in the defense and trying to get their fastest forward to go one on one with the other team.

Should be a fun year.

How is a bunker defense a strength? Anybody can drop 10 players behind the ball, & play a forward @ the center circle. HF-L was good last year due to Trinidad, Burgasser & Johny Day. Johnny Day was pacy, strong, & could play this game properly, not to say score goals. They are gone. HF-L was a direct team last year with those guys, but without them this year they will be direct but with no lethal threat in the final third as last year. You cant win the kentucky Derby with old horses, you need thorougbreds.

I agree they lost there key offensive players form last year. On the other hand, they will probalby bring up a couple sophmores this year that have more speed than any of the three graduates that you mentioned.

Coming off a sectional win from last year, I can't see any team taking them lightly this year. We will know soon enough as they will play in the Mendon Tournament at the end of August.
